Concepts and Goals
Apart from her own dance creation and performances, Tamami Yamada is considering ways of sharing the power of dance with various people. She feels that through her experiences, one’s body, which seem awkward at first glance, has sufficient appeal and makes a fresh impression on the audience due to one’s strong sense of existence on stage. Tamada finds great pleasure in finding one’s unique dance abilities through face-to-face practices and pre-interviews with those who are not dancers.
She shows her talent in creating collaboration works by working with artists from different fields.
Future Plans
Tamami Yamada hopes to carry out the workshops and activities described above. She also hopes to create performances in which middle-aged, elderly and challenged people can participate. Collaboration works with musicians, improvisation, and performing acts produced by other artists are the focus of her dance performances.
