タキスタンの歴史

The Takistan is a country with long and bloody past. It is a country of people who always remember what their origin is and for who the thousand-years-old history is as fresh and important as yesterdays news. They never forget and never forgive.

In 636, the Takistan kingdom was formed by Muslim tribes, who conquered the whole area of modern Takistan and parts of several surrounding countries. The kingdom prospered till 1219, when the country was overrun by Gengis Khan and his empire and the royal Takistani family was exiled.

After decline of Mongolian empire in 16th century, the Takistan country was divided into multiple provinces controlled by neighboring kingdoms for next 300 years.

In the 18th century, the descendants of the original dynasty returned from the exile in Istanbul and renewed Kingdom of Takistan. In 1892, Takistan became a formal feudatory of Russian Empire, providing a wild, hostile and scarcely inhabited buffer between Russian territory and British expansion. After the October Revolution in Russia in 1917, the king Abu Khazrad Jaffudi offered the safe haven to Russian „White Guards“. The Kingdom of Takistan, affiliated to the Western world, existed till the coup d' état in 1988.

Following the fall of the incumbent monarchy and second exile of royal family, Socialist and Royalist groups fought for supremacy in Takistan. Each faction was backed by world-leading superpowers (Royalists by the USA, Socialists by the USSR), providing support to retain strategic control over the nation's rich resources, particularly its vast crude-oil reserves and huge deposits of precious-metal ore.

Reinforced by the open Soviet military support and large shipments of Eastern weaponry, the Socialists prevailed in 1992. Despite this, pockets of local Royalist tribesmen remained. The supply of crude oil at hand was quickly exploited to expand and strengthen the Takistani state police and armed forces. Scud-B ballistic missiles, missile carriers, and the covert research and development of chemical weapons contributed to the proliferation of military stockpiles with the aim of maximizing Takistani military might – and, by extension – tightening the grip of Soviet rule.

On April 17, 2012, Royalist tribes, with the rumored support of CIA operatives seeking to destabilize the dangerous regime, succeeded in significantly damaging the production of crude oil. A well-coordinated raid on key oil fields dealt three critical blows to the regime: the loss of a year's production of crude oil, the destruction of 68 % of the country's oil wells, and the sudden lack of resources required to hold Takistan.

Power structures started to disintegrate; voices and actions of discontent spread. In a desperate bid to cling to the reins of power, the Socialist Supreme Bureau threatened the nearby country of Karzeghistan with the use of chemical weapons if the oil-rich Sharig Plateau, an integral part of Takistani territory usurped by the British reign in the times of the Takistani monarchy, was not "immediately returned to the people of Takistan".

On June 1, 2012, a few days after the ultimatum, Alliance forces deployed bases in rebel-controlled territories and instigated Operation Arrowhead, whose objectives are to neutralize the threat of ballistic missile attacks and nullify the possibility of an attack on Karzeghistan before attempting any humanitarian or political actions.

居住地域
The central Takistan is mountainous and undeveloped, with only larger settlement being the regional capital city of Zargabad located in the northern part of province. Majority of the settlements is concentrated in the irrigated „green zones“ in the valleys.

The other notable towns are Rasman and Feruz Abad, recently growing due to the expansion of the crude-oil production and exploatation of the large coltan deposits discovered in the mountains.

The Takistan is a country of many contrasts: pictoresque villages set in an astounding scenery can be found only few steps from the oil plants, dirty dumps or the torn remnants of the decades of civil war.

工業地域
Takistan country is endowed with natural resources, including the extensive deposits of natural gas, crude oil and coltan, not to mention quantity of sulphur, lead, coal, copper, mercury and semiprecious stones.

Unfortunately, ongoing instability in the country, remote and rugged terrain, and an inadequate infrastructure and transportation network have made mining these resources difficult.

Coltan, abbreviated from columbite-tantalite, is a black metallic ore containing niobium and tantalum. It is key material for resistors and capacitors, used in all modern electronic devices such as computer processors, mobile phones, DVDs and many more. It is also component of many mas-used alloys. The biggest ore deposits can be found in Africa, the Middle East, Greenland, Brazil and Takistan.

自然
Despite the extensive mining activities in the region – activities made by people who do not care about nature and landscape beauty at all – the central Takistan is still filled by large areas of untouched nature and original wilderness.

The central Takistan is filled by rugged mountains and large areas of sandy deserts. However, central Takistan in general does not suffer from any water shortage. This is because of the huge amount of snow covering the mountain peaks during winters. Unfortunately, this water only runs into several streams and rivers, surrounded by the green areas in otherwise desert-like landscape. All of the local settlements are build around these water supplies.

It may take years before the travelers could explore the nature of central Takistan. It is nearly impossible to get a tourist visa, and there are too many dangers waiting in the mountains: marauders, paramilitary Republican Militias, or unexploded ordnance.

町や村
Most of the villages and towns are relatively small, with only little sightseeings. Still, there can be found some nice examples of the ornate historical architecture in the deep valleys and bushy green zones of Takistan.

The local architecture encompasses a wide range of styles, with prevalence of the traditional countryside and mountain housing. The modern housing can be seen mostly in the bigger towns, or along the frequented „national roads“ connecting Zargabad with other regional capitals.

軍事施設
This days, the army is a leading force in the country. It is not subordinate to the government, it is the government itself. Supreme commanders are also the political, economical and judicial governors of the regions they (and their soldiers) control.

There are several big bases in the lowland, usually hosting the whole regiments of Takistani Army and Military Police counter-guerilla forces. However, the military presence and territorial control is maintained by the observation points and bases scattered across the mountain. The other notable features are the remnants of defensive lines built to protect the Socialist-controlled oil fields from the tribal raids in the early 1990s.

ザルガバッド
The city of Zagarbad is the heart of the Central Takistan province. It is located in the center of large north-south running valley surrounded by the mountains from all sides. The city center is filled with large urban buildings, markets and offices, while the suburb quarters comprise of the simple adobe houses and farmsteads.

There is a pseudo-modern villa on the northern outskirts of the city, built in 1978 by one of the King's cousins, almost destroyed in 1988 and recently refurbished by the local military commander, Colonel Mohammad Rahim Aziz. The troops under his command are stationed on the city airport, in few smaller military installations in the city and in the large bases and training camps to the north and north-west.

If the situation in Takistan ever changes, Zargabad will become one of the country's prime tourist locations.
