Ken Mogi

My ultimate research goal is to elucidate the neural mechanism behind the phenomenal experience of qualia.
My research interests include active vision, the robust handling of uncertainty by the emotion system, the social construction of the self, origin of language, social cognition, one-shot learning, body image, memory dynamics.

Active vision is one of the interesting research themes in which we can explore the neural basis of visual awareness (Taya and Mogi 2005)

So far, I have put forward two conjectures about the mind-brain problem. Mach's principle in perception, and the principle of interaction simultaneity.

Recently, I have been in interested in the cognitive and neuroscience of happiness.
