1984: Trained in France and Japan with aspiration of becoming a mime.
1993: Started solo activities. Studied contemporary dance with Chizuyo Kitai, Kazuko Takemoto, Hikari Baba, Reiko Uemura, and Ako Sekihara.
Aoki’s performance is a fusion of pantomime and dance.
Without following a stereotyped notion, Aoki always performs with his own sense of beauty.
Anything he tries is a new step for his future performance.
As well as improvisation, Jiro Aoki wants to collaborate with other artists.
