Concepts and Goals
Kasumi Adachi is engaged in developing a local form of dance expression, creation and presentation within the Tohoku region (the northernmost part of Japan’s main island), and is actively exploring the possibilities of creation and fusion of new dance and other arts through working with local communities and via collaborative efforts with artists of other disciplines. As a dancer, Kasumi Adachi aspires to build new lines of exchange from the country areas to the main cities and overseas, and then from the main cities and overseas back to the country areas.
Future Plans
To bring together local staff and citizen participants for the purpose of popularizing contemporary dance in the Akita area. To carry out projects and performances that help deepen understanding and facilitate a shared joy-significance of the imagination and the discovery of new expression through actual scenes where dance performances are created.
