Profile
1957: Born In Yokohama, into a family of dancers.
Received many awards before 1982.
1982 - 85: Her dance style was broadened as a result of living in America.
From 1985, formed dance group Mika Kurosawa & Dancers and performed with various artists in modest locations, including studio 200, Jyan Jyan, ST spot, etc. over the next 15 years.
1999: Began solo activity and debuted the solo performance The Rose Man series (longer than standard piece), along with 6 other works.
2003: Established a new genre called Statelessness Ethnic Dance, where she dances to achieve a new self apart from "Mika Kurosawa." Began using the stage name LouReeko. She is an experienced performer who has come to be known as the God Mother of Japanese contemporary dance.
Concepts and Goals
Mika Kurosawa has been referred to as an unfriendly & difficult person to work with, and there have been concerns about her level of service, but she has performed excellently and on her own terms for a very long time.
Future Plans
Enjoying the pleasure of solo & group activities, and to continue both activities in the future. She hopes to continue dancing her past works in the 80's-90's.
