Concepts and Goals
Azuma's uniquely contemporary performance style originates from a physical understanding of butoh and a sharp sensitivity to the urban environment in which he was born. In performing seemingly mundane sequences, Azuma draws the audience into his unique artistic perspective. Azuma endeavors to be increasingly active in collaborative work with musicians & visual artists.
Future Plans
To engage in solo performances, as well as create and choreograph performances for TENYUKAN. To be increasingly active in collaborative work with musicians and visual artists. And to find opportunities for performing not only in the Kansai area but throughout Japan and overseas.
