- Chest level is determined by quest base level and quest difficulty (Hard +1, Elite +2).
For the buffs, - Guild Airship buff (Bash the Breakables Cargo Bay, +1),
for group - Greater Dragonmark of Finding (+1),
Personal
- Pirate Treasure Map (+1),
- Jewel of Fortune (+1/+2), and
for all - loot bonus server switch (usually +2)
ーThe loot level affects the item's minimum level.
- "Ransacking" a chest (i.e. looting it too many times in too short a period of time), will decrease the loot level.
- Treasure tables go up to chest level 40 according to Update 29 Release Notes.
- Some chests are special and can have higher or lower level loot than indicated by quest level.
