You should get salt before you do tofu making.
Tofu cannot be made from soybeans alone.
Tofu is made by extracting soy milk from soybeans and mixing the soy milk with bittern. Bittern can be obtained in the process of making salt.
First, craft a salt field by preparing two sticks and a half block of cobble stones.
Crafted salt pans are more efficient when placed adjacent to each other, for example, four salt pans next to each other.
The salt pans you have set up are empty as they are, so you will have to splash buckets of water on them. The water bucket will fill four 2x2 tiles; if the area is larger than 3x3, the bucket will be sprayed more than once.
Now we wait for the passage of time. The seawater? dries up and salt is formed.
Right click on the white area to remove salt. After that, you will see a light blue film, which is bittern. You can secure it by holding the glass bottle and right-clicking.
Automated salt making?
There is a new block in the tofu craft mod called SaltFurnace.
The SaltFurnace is superior to the SaltPan because this block can make salt and bittern stock by itself.
| 1 | Set the fuel for the Furnace, e.g. coal or charcoal. |
| 2 | Set an empty glass bottle. It will work without it, but it will not take more bittern than accumulated in 4. |
| 3 | Set the water buckets. It is not necessary to right-click on the 3 water buckets in the saltmaking furnace. |
| 4 | A certain amount of bittern is accumulated. If there are empty bottles, priority is given to those that will become bottled bittern. |
| 5 | Seawater? Stocking place for seawater. It can be stocked with 3 buckets of water. |
| 6 | The resulting salt is accumulated. |

Have the soybeans and bittern bottles been made? Here is where the real work begins. First, craft a bucket with soybeans and an empty bucket with soy milk.

Right-click on the bottle containing bittern as the soy milk pond target. The soy milk will harden. If you hit the hardened one, 4 pieces of silken tofu will drop. Thank you for your hard work.
