Installation and Uninstallation Procedure

Installation

Single purpose distribution version installation

The distribution file It is compressed by the zip form.
It doesn't explain the method of the decompression here.

1. When the Sakura-Editor of the version before is installed, all the Sakura-Editor under execution (including residing) are ended.
2. An arbitrary folder is made, and distribution file sakura_xxxx-xx-xx.zip is defrosted to the folder. It doesn't usually care by the superscription at the update.
3. To change to the setting according to the user since 2000, sakura.exe.ini (file besides sakura.ini) is set up.
   When Virtual Store is invalidated since Vista, the setting according to the user is indispensable.
4. When VisualStyle is made effective since XP, sakura.exe.manifest is set up. Moreover, when Virtual Store is invalidated since Vista, sakura.exe.manifest is needed.
5. Please do the short cut making etc. by the hand work.

Note:
When the version improves from the version (1.5.17.0 former) that doesn't correspond to UAC of Vista, the setting that has been used up to now is not succeeded because Virtual Store is nullified by putting manifest. Please correspond if necessary of the movement of sakura.ini to an appropriate position etc. Refer to a Virtual Store, setting according to the user and setting folders for details.

Package version installation

When the package version (installer) is used, uninstallation information etc. are written in the registry.

1. All the Sakura-Editor under execution (including residing) are ended.
2. Please execute downloaded sinstx-x-xx-x.exe, and follow the wizard.
3. The selection screen whether it in OS since 2000 setting according to the user only when newly installing.

Note
The function that was able to be used till then by having updated it to the upgrade product might not operate.
We will recommend execution file sakura.exe and configuration file sakura.ini of the previous version to be backed up.
In this case, you will change the file name by merely moving sakura.exe to another folder because the short cut might change linked Websites automatically and it start the previous version.

Note
Please make it to turning off at OS since Vista though in the package version of an old version, there is a check box of "The Sakura-Editor is right now started" on the last screen. The trouble such as not working of BackSpace when continuing as turning on occurs. Please end all the cherry editors including residing in that case once.

Uninstallation

Single purpose distribution version uninstallation

1. Residing also all ends it including the Sakura-Editor under execution.
2. The folder of sakura.exe is wholly deleted.
3. A setting folder is deleted when setting it according to the user since 2000.
4. When Virtual Store is effective since Vista, the file such as sakura.ini that it includes below "%LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore" is deleted.
5. Please delete the short cut etc. made for myself.

Hint: When uninstalling it, the registry need not be operated because the Sakura-Editor will not write it in the registry at all.

Package version uninstallation

1. Residing also all ends it including the Sakura-Editor under execution.
2. Please uninstall it from the addition and the deletion (Add/Remove Programs applet) of the program.

Hint: The file named sakura.ini is a configuration file of the Sakura-Editor. In the uninstallation of the package version, sakura.ini is not deleted.

Note: The setting according to the user and Virtual Store are the reasons such as effective, and the preservation place of sakura.ini might be different though sakura.ini is in the same place as sakura.exe usually.

At a standard installation before XP	The same place as sakura.exe.
At the setting according to the user since 2000	Setting according to the user and refer to a setting folder.
For effective Virtual Store since Vista	"%LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore\Program Files\sakura" When you specify the installation destination of default in the package version.

About the work file that the Sakura-Editor makes

When the Sakura-Editor is executed after the Sakura-Editor is installed, the following files are made for the folder (Or, setting folder) with sakura.exe.
