1984: Started activity.
1994: Trained in London and New York. Later began creating works with disabled children and other projects.
2000: Presented work at the Dance and the Child International (daCi) Conference in Canada.
2001: Held a workshop at the Tokyo branch of Japan ASCD(Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development).
2002: Held workshops and performances on the island of Paros in Greece.
2003: Received Ebetsu City Cultural Art Award.
2006: Received Independent Unique Award for the piece Yuzu Kanda choreographed. Performed and had workshops at the Dance and the Child International (daCi) Conference in The Hague, The Netherlands.
In the cold, the blizzards, the light snows and the clear-cut seasons of Hokkaido, the members of Modern Dance S・R・D enjoy and suffer through this climate's effects on their lives and physical and psychological conditions. Working intuitively within these circumstances, they continue to create subtly comical works with artists from other fields based on the subject of womanhood.
To hold workshops in Japan and overseas for cultivating body and soul and bringing out each individual's potential through dance. To pursue and perform works along the theme of women existing here and now.
