1955: Born in Osaka.
1978: Joined the former Ministry of Home Affairs and worked on local government policy, financing and art environment development projects.
2001: Joined the newly founded Department of Cultural Policy at Kyoto Tachibana Women's University and became a teacher of art appreciation seminars, art management and regional art environment studies and other subjects.
Nobuo Kogure is the director of Art Works, a nonprofit organization.
