Prospects for Japanese Contemporary Dance
Japanese contemporary dancers are challenging the dance traditions in various aspects ranging from butohish physical expression, art performances and in plays.
Now that avant-garde dancers in Europe and the U.S. have become arts leaders, Japanese dancers have a chance to take a leap forward not only in Japan, but also in other Asian countries and around world.
Nobuo Shiga hopes Japanese dancers accept the great challenge.
