  • Terminal Plaza Kotoni Patos

History / Profile
1995 - 2002: Operated as a small theater free space in a remodeled warehouse. Hosted Dance Weeks (1998 - 2002) and JCDN's We're Gonna Go Dancing!! Sapporo performances(1999-2006).
2002: Space operation suspended due to city redevelopment.
2003: Became a nonprofit organization.
2004: Started management and operation in Sapporo city-run facility Terminal Plaza Kotoni Patos .
2006: Reopen Assisted Living Cultural Facilities Con Carino.
Concepts and Goals
Con Carino is working towards progressive activities to メunite art and the cityモ and is carrying out various art programs in preparation for its new base in a theater space in the Kotoni-Hachiken neighborhood of Sapporo.
Future Plans
To contribute to the performing arts culture by creating interest in the public. Con Carino welcomes proposals for theatrical or dance productions.

 

Current and Continuing Programs
PerformanceOther program:Con Carino plans to rent the facilities to performing art productions and support them administratively. In 2006 the following festivals were organized by Con Carino.

  • Re-Birth of Con Carino festival
  • Yuugi-sai(Play festival)
  • Nishi-ku Cultural festival

WorkshopOther program:In 2006 we organized workshops and participatory seminars for local artists and residents and organized various projects to revitalize the art community.
We organized several events in the outlying areas of Hokkaido in order to heighten awareness of the arts.
(Kim Itoh dance workshop,Shigemi Kitamura dance workshop, Yubiwa-Hotel residency project,CandoCo workshop,etc)
Other program:We also helped NPOs by providing artist for their various festivals and events.
