Concepts and Goals
With the “uniting of people and dance” as a guiding motto, they work toward creating opportunities for people living in various locations to encounter dance. Workshops, where people with differing physical abilities gather, are full of new discoveries for your and others’ physical capabilities and sense, and help create new dance ideas and performances.Dance & People aims to create open-minded performers and environments with participants, artists and staff members. It offers workshops and performances anywhere on request, as well, works with people in different fields.
Future Plans
Dance & People wants to create various programs, such as, showing performances at various places including old buildings and in the woods. They would also like people from different backgrounds to create performance works together, and create dance performances from stories taught by the elderly as well as from history. It also wants to create environments where people can talk about various matters through workshops, and where anything, related or unrelated to dance, such as child rearing, improvisation and disparities, can be discussed
