Concepts and Goals
The Cultural Section of Israel's Embassy aims to introduce Israel's contemporary dance culture, as well as a wide range of Israeli arts activities, to Japanese people. As it continues to promote dance performances and workshops, the embassy intends to put emphasis on promotion of collaboration work among Japanese and Israeli artists, Media-Mix activities beyond genre, and cultural communication with Japanese people.
Future Plans
With the increasing number of Japanese dancers studying in Israel, the Embassy wishes to provide up-to-date information about Israel to Japanese people in order to deepen exchanges through dance culture between both countries.

Current and Continuing Programs
Workshop:Israel Dance Workshop Series
In this program, Israeli choreographers and dancers are invited from Israel, every spring or summer, to offer workshops for professional and amateur dancers as well as children nationwide. Offering workshops that are intended for students at art universities and non-dancers, such as the elderly, are also being considered for the future.
Other program:Israel Dance Performance (tour cooperation)
The Cultural Affairs Section invites Israeli dance companies to Japan or provides tour cooperation.
Other program:International Exposure at Suzanne Dellal Center
The Curtain Up - International Exposure Festival is held every December, in Tel Aviv, at the Suzanne Dellal Center. Guidance and on-site coordination is provided for Japanese performing arts workers and attending critics. Introductions to performing arts institutions and their staff are also provided to Japanese people who visit Israel.
Other program:Video Dance showings
Dance & Media events are held and 'TV Theater Television Co., Ltd.' and other Israeli video dance materials are available for screening at events.
