[Month of the Mad God] IN GAME EVENT: Find the GM, Part 3!

We are back with another Find the GM! We have made some small tweaks are we are ready to once again run from the ravenous horde!

How to Play:
The game goes like this. RF and Myself will hop into separate servers and run into a realm. We will then run around, willy nilly, shouting silly things. It is up to players to find us and take a screenshot with you saying "GM YOU DA BESS!" Then post the screenshot in this thread! This time we will act a little differently in game, based on some feedback we received.

Recap: PLEASE READ THERE ARE SMALL CHANGES THIS TIME!

• You must have yourself, and one of the GM's in your screenshot.
• You must have your character saying "GM YOU DA BESS!" in the screenshot.
• You must post the screenshot in this thread before the event ends.
• You must list the spelling of your in game name in the post or your entry will be invalid. (Dont make switch write it down from the screenshot.

Hints!

• We will be moving pretty fast. If only players had the ability to teleport to other players...
• You may want to write "GM YOU DA BESS!" in a text document and copy it, so you can just paste it in chat.

[Month of the Mad God] Dungeon Redux: The Shatters (Awwww yeahhhh)

Hello daring dungeon delvers!

As part of Month of the Mad God, we have a new event that will help you and your friends spend more time running dungeons together!
The basics of the event is this: We name a dungeon, and players go, run that dungeon, beat the bosses face in, and take a screenshot of them saying a certain phrase. They post this screenshot in this thread. Then, 50% of all entries (chosen randomly) will be lucky winners! They will receive a key for the same dungeon they just ran. You have pretty good odds of getting a free key, or a 2 for 1 on any purchased key!

This event's phrase: "EasyPeasy"

This event's dungeon: The Shatters

Rules:

• You must post your entry in this thread before the event ends.
• 1 entry per account
• You must post a screenshot of you fighting the boss/defeating the boss.
• You must be saying "EasyPeasy" in the post.
• You must take the SS after the final boss of the dungeon is defeated.

Rewards:

• 50% of all valid entries will receive 1x The Shatters Key

Hints:

• Have "EasyPeasy" copied and ready to paste. You will probably want to take the SS right as the boss spawns, or right as it dies. Or you could do it mid fight, I suppose.

[Month of the Mad God] SALE: Free Ambrosia with every $15 spent on gold!

Hello again Realmers, back again with another super sweet sale!

This sale should appeal to a wide variety of customers! For every $15 you spend on gold, you get a free Ambrosia. This is not limited to 1 free ambrosia. You can use it as many times as you want. Spend $30 on gold? 2 ambrosia. Spend $45? Three ambrosia. Ambrosia for days.

Recap:

• Every $15 spent on gold before the deadline will earn you 1 free ambrosia.
• There is no limit per account, you can earn as many ambrosia as you wish.
• This only applies to gold PURCHASED. Spending gold in game does not apply to this promotion.

[Month of the Mad God] IN GAME EVENT: Dungeon Divers (revised!)

Greetings! We are back with another Dungeon Divers!

This time, we are going to change the event quite a bit, based of feedback from the last event. Starting at 2:00pm PDT, NullBot and RFSwitch are going to be opening dungeons! They will be in multiple servers at once (oooOOOOoooo) and invisible, so just keep an eye out for those portals!

This time, we are not advertising that the GM's will enter the dungeon with players, making this more of a portal spawn event. The reasoning? It causes a lot of logistical problems. For players to have an enjoyable experience in these dungeons, we can only have so many in there with us - and that really limits the amount of impact we can have. We want to run events that many players can enjoy, not just a few. In the last event, we had players skipping open portals waiting for us. This causes extreme crowding, and at the same time tons of dungeons with only a few players in them. Lose Lose. So now, we may enter a dungeon.. but you wont know. We are invisible. Instead, we will be opening a wider variety of dungeons at a slightly slower pace on multiple servers at once. This should reduce the huge crowds following us from server to server - and instead give players a chance to run dungeons with other community members.

Also, we are limiting ourselves to the following servers: USS2, USS3, EUN2, EUW2, EUS and USW3. These will be our "event servers." This way, those that do not wish to participate are not forced to deal with the crowds they cause.

Recap:

• At 2:00 pm PDT, Null and Switch will log in and proceed to the LEFT Bazaar on the following servers: USS2, USS3, EUN2, EUW2, EUS and USW3
• They will then open multiple dungeons on all servers at once. No need to hop servers, just be on the lookout for portals.
• The GM's will open a variety of portals.

Hints:

• This is still Realm. If you die in a dungeon, you died. You know a lot of players are going to be coming along, so we just want to make sure you realize what you are getting into before you enter. If your character dies during the event, we are sorry for your loss but dying is dying, you will not get your character back.

Prizes:
Free Dungeons! And the comforting warmth of our love and affection.

Month of the Mad God: New version's of UTs and DOUBLE DROP RATE

Hello! For Month of the Mad God today, we have released two special versions of UT's!

Introducing The Bow of the Morning Star and The Sword of Illumination!

These new versions of the Doom Bow and Demon Blade will drop in the same exact places as their new counterparts. To be clear, these drop INSTEAD of the Doom Bow and the Demon Blade, not in addition to them. But! to add to the fun, we also DOUBLED THEIR DROP RATES. That's right! Now you are TWICE as likely to get one of these new weapons as their old versions.

These will stay in game until the end of the month, 6/30.

[Month of the Mad God]OPEN TESTING: Lair of Draconis!

Lair of Draconis. You may have heard of it. This probably one of our most anticipated dungeons, and it is sitting on test, and we want to let you guys take a crack at it.

We will be stress testing the dungeon today, which means we are opening up the testing servers and letting players take a look at the new dungeon.

How do I access testing?
Just click here!

Please remember that your testing account is completely separate from your normal account. If you havent made a testing account before you will have to register a new account and start fresh. You will not have your old characters. There will be items available in the nexus to help you gear up for the lair.

When does this happen?
We are going to open testing at approxomately 2:00pm PDT. I will update this thread when the gates are open. We do not know how long testing will last, but we anticipate a short period. Less than 24 hours.

[Month of the Mad God] IN GAME EVENT: Oryx Talks Part 3!

Hello again! Today we have another in game event for Month of the Mad God!

We all know and love Oryx, the ever charismatic god who presides over this realm. Or, do we? I mean. We break into his house and steal his stuff a lot, and sure are keen on killing his pets but... has anyone ever taken the time to try to get to know him?

Well we think it's about time we got to know Oryx a little bit better. So, for today's event, we want you to keep an eye out for any unusual things Oryx may say in game. These will be outside of the normal messages Oryx sends out to the realm. You will likely know them when you see them. If you catch one of these more personal moments, grab a screenshot and post it in this thread. 10 Lucky winners will receive a prize.

BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE!
If you are quick enough to say "WE'RE ALL MAD HERE" in chat and capture it, and Oryx's text in the screenshot, you will automatically win a prize! This does not disqualify you from the 10 lucky winners, so you can win double!

Recap:

• Today, between 2:30pm and 3:30pm, keep an eye out for Oryx saying some unusual things (Such as song lyrics.)
• Grab a screenshot of the text and post it in this thread to be entered into a raffle. 10 lucky winners will receive a prize.

[Month of the Mad God] Announcing Lair of Draconis Early Access!

Note From the staff:
Lair of Draconis is Back! The team would like to personally thank everyone for the feedback and the patience as we worked on the dungeon. We know you have been waiting, and we want to take this opportunity to do something for you guys. So here are a few Lair treats:

• We will be paying out every player who won a Lair key an additional free lair key.
• Switch and myself will randomly go in game and announce that he will be opening Lair portals.
• We will be announcing random mini forum events to pay out Lair Keys.

We are happy to announce that the long awaited release Lair of Draconis dungeon draws near!

Early Release, What is it?

As of today, you can purchase a mystery box with a chance to get an early look at Lair of Draconis. Later (see below), LoD will drop in game for free (and will also become available in the nexus.) However, there are some perks to the early release!

• Get a chance to run the dungeon first, and be one of the first to get your hands on the new gear
• Speaking of gear, we have temporarily increased the drop rates of the rare items (including double the drop rate on the new gear) during the early release.

We will be extending early access for another week. It will now end 7/3/2014.

The Lore of Lair:

Ivory Wyvern:
Stories of the four dragons that lay in the Lair of Draconis have passed from generation to generation but few know of the fifth dragon, the Ivory Wyvern. It is said that you can see the shimmering gold of his stolen treasure reflected in the pale ivory scales that cover his snake-like body. Trapped in the depths of the dungeon with his prizes, he seeks the power to escape his eternal prison.

Few have escaped a brush with the ivory colored beast, but those that have speak of a treasure highly coveted by the creature. Hidden away from the light is a shuriken of immense power, so dark that it absorbs the light around it and so deadly that to be hit by the shuriken is to be instantly paralyzed. Many a brave soul has ventured forth to obtain the Midnight Star, but none of have yet claimed it.

The development of Lair of Draconis has taken much longer than other dungeons, and despite not being started by this team we have pushed aside other work in order to bring it out as quickly as possible. We wanted to maintain the feeling that the original dungeon had, while still adding our own touch. We understand that this extended period of development time has been especially rough, since the dungeon had been previewed so long ago. We sincerely hope that you feel the wait was worth it.
