Out With Fire

Woke up to the clang of the forge again
With sweat on my brow
And fire in my hands

The steel sings a song
Only we understand
We built this whole mountain
From rubble and sand

The swing of the hammer thay I hew
Lights up the dark and rings out true

Born of the stone,
It's the life that I know
But its more than just work
Its in our bones

But I'm setting out,
With fire inside
There's a world out there
That's far too wide

I'm not running scared
I'm filled with pride

And I know its hard but I'll survive

And I'll raise back up just like a flame
And I'll make sure that they know my name

I got thick like a stone or shield

You should know
That dwarves will never yield

The boss says,
"Dig deeper. You've not done enough."

But we've built these halls here
When push came to shove

He shouts from his tower of paper and gold
But we tend the fire, we carry the load

I said,
"You can bark,
But I wont bow my head-
You forget who we are,
What we've always said

We dont yield, don't break,
Don't beg, don't run

I'm not doing forging-
I've just begun

So I'm just sitting out,
No turning away
