Facility Description:
The theater consists of 4 halls; Main Hall, Concert Hall, Adaptable Hall and Audio-Visual Hall. It also has 6 rehearsal rooms and another 6 rooms for training.
Main Hall: 1,300 sq m stage (12.7-14.5 m width, 9 m high, 18.18m depth for both main and back stage) with 776 seats.
Concert Hall: 140 sq m with 604 seats.
Adaptable Hall: 60 - 170 sq m stage (7.9 m width, 11.5 m high, 7.3 m -14.9 m depth) with 266 - 346 seats.
Audio-Visual Hall: 150 seats.

History / Profile
Since its opening, on October 15, 1994, the SAITAMA ARTS FOUNDATION / SAITAMA ARTS THEATER has presented, along with various workshops and other events, more than 150 music, drama, dance and ballet performances every year.
Performers appeared in the past include William Forsythe Ballet Frankfurt (1994), Pina Bausch Tanztheater Wuppertal (1996, 1999, 2002, 2004), La La La Human Steps (1996, 1998),Netherlands Dance Theater (1997, 1999 - 2003), Rosas (2001 - 2004), Troubleyn / Jan Fabre (2006-2007),Jan Lauwers & Needcompany(2007), Sasha Waltz & Guests(2007) and Inbal Pinto Dance Company(2007).
Concepts and Goals
SAITAMA ARTS FOUNDATION / SAITAMA ARTS THEATER features productions by world-known dancers and choreographers from Japan and abroad. The foundation also puts emphasis on education programs for the children of the future generation by planning, producing and hosting workshops and performance events.
