Dsrugal is a well-known edit of Rugal, created by ydccdy in 2014. He was the first top tier SuperNull character to appear in MUGEN and was considered unbeatable a long time ago.
As the years passed, Dsrugal (or SuperNull characters in general) could only be defeated if the enemy was selected before him, using namesake exploits to avoid being replaced by his dummy definition file. However, Dsrugal remains unbeatable when selected first since his code is executed before the enemy's. To defeat him during execution state, it is required to use a HyperNull or higher.
Dsrugal uses a StateDef Overflow to execute his code, replacing the enemy's definition file and path for his own, which applies to all characters in the roster. This technology/code is still used by many authors when creating their SuperNull characters.

- Dsrugal is an upgraded version of Disland Rugal, a null edit of Rugal made by ydccdy.
- ydccdy defeated Dsrugal by creating a character called guanyin dsrugal program, an Omed? type character.
- Dsrugal's exploit file is one of the most stolen codes. However, this limits the number of letters (Definition file and folder name) to use, which is why other SuperNull characters often always have 7 letters.
- The image that appears during the match is a wallpaper of the character, Shadow Priest from World of Warcraft, an MMORPG video game developed by Blizzard Entertainment in 2004.
