File Property

Exclusive Control of File

The function to protect the file under the edit from other programs. Two or more people update the file that exists for instance in the server at the same time and it is lost.

[No Exclusive Control] RadioButton (default: Non-Checked)

[Watch Update] CheckBox (default: Checked)

When he or she doesn't control it exclusively, the file editing it in the Sakura-Editor can be referred and be updated by the user of other applications and other computers (When is in the environment to which the file can be referred and be updated by way of the network).
It notifies you detecting the thing that the file editing it in the Sakura-Editor is updated when "Watch of the update" is made effective.

[Prohibit Overwrite from Another Process] RadioButton (default: Checked)

The update becomes, and it is impossible and only the reference becomes possible user's of other applications and other computers (When is in the environment to which the file can be referred and be updated by way of the network) becoming the file editing it in the Sakura-Editor when he or she prohibits the superscription from another process.

Save File

[Overwrite Even No Change] CheckBox (default: Non-Checked)

[Auto Save] CheckBox (default: Non-Checked), EditBox (default: 5 minute)

When the file is a no change, it doesn't depend in the state of the check of "No change is overwrited" on, and it doesn't overwrite.

Display File List when File Type is [User Specification] by "Save As".

When dialog of preservation, and the file type is "User specification", the display level of the file list is set giving a name. (sakura:1.5.14.0 or later)

[Display All Files when Save from New] CheckBox (default: Checked)

"(Untitled)" name is displayed and when preserving it, all files are displayed putting it. (*.txt;*.*)
The filter is done by "*.txt" when it is invalid.

[Display All Files when Save from Not New] CheckBox (default: Checked)

When preserving it, all files are displayed giving a name with the file under the edit. (*.xxx;*.*)
The filter is done when it is invalid by the same extension as a present file.

Open File

[Drop File is "Close and Open"] CheckBox (default: Non-Checked)

The file can be opened by dropping the file from the Explorer etc. in the window in the Sakura-Editor. The operation in that case is defined.

  • When it is effective:
    After the file that is opening now is shut when the file is dropped, the dropped file is opened. The change is confirmed before the changed file is shut.
    Only one is processed when two or more files are dropped, and it disregards it.
  • When invalidity:
    A new window at each dropped file is made when the file is dropped, and those files are opened.
    When two or more files are dropped, it is limited to the number set by the option of "The drop of the file is assumed to be the maximum nn piece at a time".

[Drop File is Assumed to be MAXnn Piece at a Time] EditBox (default: 8 pieces)

[Restore Cursor Position when Open File] CheckBox (default: Checked)

The priority level when this setting is invalid:
Specified character-code > The last character-code > Character-code of automatic recognition

[Warns when File Noy Exist] CheckBox (default: Non-Checked)

When the file that started opening doesn't exist, the dialog of warning is displayed when keeping effective.

[Setting Folder] Button

The setting folder button is displayed only when setting it according to the user.
