2015/03/17 Update 1.0.6

New
Generic loading screen implemented for Replayer, Army and Shooting Range.
New splash screen.
In game event log remade using icons.
Implemented "Change team" feature at spawn selection screen.
Added spawn selection screen to Team Deathmatch.
Smooth camera blend between ordinary player camera and UI camera.
Able to define a separate "spread angle" of snipers when firing "no scope". Set some pretty conservative values in Basic and Desecrator but still effective.
Updated to latest Steamworks SDK.
Added command line option, -force-render-device=<device index>, to force selection of render device.
Fixed
Fixed camera clipping issues while in game tank customizer.
Fixed bad format of player name in kill message.
A lot of UI control scripts refactored and cleaned up.
Prevent camera clipping with ocean waves.
Implemented proper UI texture mipmapping.
Remove deserter effect after death camera.

Tweaks
Increased time to live of ANTI cannon, also added air "impact" event to ANTI cannon.
Changed DXGI setup to only permit one frame queued by driver to reduce input/visual latency.
A lot of UI tweaks and cleanups.
Map changes for TDM game mode.
Island: Removed unnecessary prefab parts. Adjusted some pickups.
ConSite: Renamed camps. Adjusted pickups.
Valley: Adjusted some TDM spawns. A little material paint. Renamed camps. Added missing repair pickup to DM and TDM modes.
Dockyard: Slight adjustments to TDM spawns. Added some TDM pickups. Renamed camps.
Arena: Slight adjustments to TDM spawns. Renamed camps.
Oasis: Adjusted TDM spawns.
Atoll: simplifications. Renamed camps. Fixed TDM spawns.

2015/02/25 Update 1.0.5 B

  • Added Italian, German and Romanian as available languages.
  • Prevent multiple release of DX11 resources if destroy being issued for multiple threads (could cause crashes at end of rounds).
  • In-game UI optimization, mini/big map markers stopped and hidden instead of using _alpha.
  • A lot of CPU optimizations.
  • No locks in sound channel class when attaching sounds to channel.
  • Changed MaxAimDistance for flamethrowers (affected support weapons).
  • Made sure map is always on top of crosshair and below hit direction indicator.

2015/02/18 Update 1.0.5

  • Fixed ray casts to bodies with 0 mask, caused direct hits on hit body to be ignored.
  • Changes so DX11 renderer restore fullscreen if DXGI leaves fullscreen (most common due to systray popups).
  • Fixed restoring mouse cursor when render window isn't active in DX11 renderer.
  • Disable resolution and vblank options in display settings when running in windowed mode (as those options are only valid when running in fullscreen).
  • Using Nvidia hack to get Optimus drivers to enable Nvidia GPU instead of integrated card.
  • Activated locks around DX11 resource creation (due to poor drivers causing crashes).
  • Using best latency to determinate ping kick. So if lowest ping to any other peer is above 1000ms for a period of time then the player is kicked.
  • Fixed initial spawn issues in conquest.
  • Fixed pivot on Arena floors and plywood ramp.
  • Tweaked light on Arena.
  • Increased number of permitted events to be sent per frame per ghost to 4.

  • Added two more homebases for Conquest on Docks.
  • Redesigned the lab chamber on Docks and added two elevators.
  • Removed d3dcompiler_nn.dll dependency from DX11 renderer.
  • Fixed the blown up text.
  • Added the correct reflection maps to Arena level.
  • Added a neutral cylinder banger.
  • Work on Valley terrain.

2015/02/06 Update 1.0.3

  • Changed sell prices from 2 to 1 for Antigravity, Armor Hardener, Support Wheels and Slimeball.
  • Changed order of some flags and decorations.
  • Localization: Rewrote english and swedish descriptions for Double Round turret, Double Basic turret, Twin hull and Hammer hull so it's more clear that two main weapons can't be fired at the same time.
  • Localization: Shortened names for Tesla Generator, Plasma Blaster, Vintage Laser and Lawn Mower Blades to avoid the names being so ugly truncated in the shop.
  • Fixed so Lobby list panel doesn't rewind to first entry after each query finishes.

2015/02/03 Update 1.0.2

  • Attached support sockets to the default Scout turret.
  • Fixed broken localization in start splash.
  • Reshuffled some HUD-elements. Increased contrast in minimaps.
  • Fixed wheel spin effect when reversing.
  • Disabled check of projectile life time – should fix problem with flamethrower stopping to emit flames after a certain time.
  • Set ghost tank physics bodies to kinematic, to skip simulation of those bodies as they are explicitly extrapolated anyway.

  • Fixed bug when changing graphics settings.
  • Fixed html spam bug in chat.
  • Removed a couple of pillars on Atoll to make sure players don't get stuck when jumping into them.
  • Various CPU optimizations; skipping particle effect modifiers which doesn't have any effect,
    prevent checking for terrain holes if no such exist in collision detection.; when setting up shader -parameters for patch shaders.
  • Reduced max extrapolation length slightly, less issues with ghosts beneath terrain.
  • Disconnecting if ping exceed 1000 ms during 20 seconds; added another error message.
  • Storing triangle normals in collision mesh resource instead of calculating them on the fly.

  • Gatling Gun shoots slower but each bullet does more damage.

  • Added a drop down menu to filter lobbies according to game modes.
  • Only basic and Premium players are allowed to paint their tanks.
  • Fixed crash associated with dying after making an "assist hit" and player leaving.

2015/01/23 Update 0.116

  • Fixed some minor reliability issues with shader graph optimization steps.
  • Added an accessory socket to the default turret
  • Made crosshair a bit less transparent
  • Implemented "Repeat" node in GLSL emitter.
  • Memory issues resolved which was reported by valgrind, some which could have caused weird issues.
  • Removed explicit update calls for tanks when created.
  • Fixed bug with AlignedVector container and natural alignment of value type on GCC.

2015/01/20 Update 0.115 F

  • Fixed blackscreen after loading on OSX.
  • Further simplifications of extrapolation calculation, still same result but much less work.
  • Reduced number of physics solver iterations from 10 to 4 which reduce CPU cost but sacrifice precision (not noticeable thou).
  • Added an FPS and Ping stat to in-game UI.
  • Reset proxy states when ghost tank unspawn.
  • Replicator tries to migrate primary token to peer with least ping.
  • Fixed script crash if a projectile spawn message is received after a tank rebuild event.
  • Reduced mouse sensitivity of X11 mouse devices.
  • Some minor fixes, ensure hull point array to bullet are 3 floats and 16 byte aligned no matter what build configuration.

  • Enabled SSE math in Bullet on Linux.

  • Fix candidate for "net split" syndrome where in one or a couple of frames the Steam doesn't report all users in a lobby.
  • Simplified and tweaked tank extrapolation step.
  • Optimized replication state memory allocations.
  • Terrain layers (undergrowth and rubble) is not renderered if terrain quality is set to "low".
  • Fixed bots unable to aim properly.

  • Linux: Fixes to input and rendering – should solve problems with invisible and sliding tanks.
  • Linux: Fullscreen and resolution fixes – OpenGL renderer no longer change X11 physical resolution but instead up-scales final blit – should fix some issues with weird mouse, Compiz glitches etc.
  • Changed the Played the alpha achievement into a hidden achievement named Early Adopter.
