オンラインについて

インターネットのマルチプレイは使用不能になっています。
「LAN」マッチでのマルチプレイは、ローカルLANか、Hamachiというソフトを使って可能との事ですが未検証。
http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?p=14019949

また、マルチは「Free Mode」「Campaign Mode」が選べるようになっており、
Free Modeは、オフラインのキャラクターを使ってプレイ可能。
Campaign Modeは、新規にキャラクター作成から始まる。
レベルマッチは1~xxまで任意に設定可能。8人まで可。
難易度も、オフライン同様、NORMAL、difficult、Vary difficultなど好きなときに変えることができる。

Silverfall Online Setup Instructions

Everyone seems spooked? With good reason. The game IS broken and does have a corruption possibility. Though we are near the end of the game in LAN and haven't seen an issue of corruption yet; other than when we used the trade option. So how do you get it to work? What are the steps and precautions you must be aware of and understand before jumping in? Read further to find out!

Multi-player is abandoned; however, there are steps you can take to play over the internet with the LAN mode. It isn't perfect but it isn't broken 100% either. I will list below the problems and the "How-to" to get this to work.

Be warned: You MUST have access to your router in order to get this to work. If you cannot open ports (and in some cases where your connection is bad; block other MAC addresses temporarily) then you cannot do this.

Problems:
If these push you away then no need to look further as we are still debugging the online portion through LAN.
1. First off you're playing over hamachi, so there will be ping spikes. You have to, absolutely MUST open the ports required to play Silverfall. Even if you're just joining, which is frustrating.
2. There is almost no internet code in the LAN when using hamachi meaning you WILL lag if you are far from the people you are playing with.
3. The last update (the second update the game ever got) made most of the main missions fall out of sync. THIS IS NOT TRUE IN ALL CASES! We tried a few times to see what would happen:
a. The game allows you to skip the intro scene but does not allow you to play with the other player since they are told to do the intro scene.
b. You skip the intro scene and everything works fine as far as we know.
c. The game doesn't allow you to skip the intro scene and upon finishing it you get warped to the end of the non-expansion game. Or you just never show up where the other player is, ever.
4. You can NOT use a player that was in the single player mission and the person who hosted the first time MUST host each consecutive time. When you create a character you MUST go directly in to LAN and stay there with said character.
5. When you load a new zone, the other players must also load the new zone. If someone doesn't want you to leave an area yet, you have to either wait for them or give them the middle finger and walk off. But what kind of friend would you be in that instance?
6. Free Play works perfectly as does the PvP mode, only Co-op has the starting bug. Also shadows tend to be off when playing online for some odd reason and there is a bug towards the desert town which I will list below:
There is a Were-goblin who asks for your help, either you can save him or kill him. If you choose to kill him I believe the game crashes completely. You must save him. (I will recheck this later on today when I get some time).
7. Do NOT trade, drop the items for other players but avoid the trade menu as it CAN crash you to the desktop.
8. The guild charter doesn't work, not like it matters in the first place .

So how do we get this to work exactly? Well first off I did list hamachi right? You need hamachi and you NEED to set it up. So here we go:

Settings up hamachi:
First things first, go to the hamachi site and download it. Then go to the hamachi wiki and set it up how you need to depending on the other OS' that you are planning to play with:
Download hamachi here: http://hamachi.en.softonic.com/
Hamachi get started wiki: http://logmeinwiki.com/wiki/Hamachi:Gaming_over_Hamachi

All the information you need is right there, next up is finding out what exact ports you need and whether or not they are for tcp or udp.
It's safe to tell you that both tcp and udp are required for the following ports:

  • 30400 TCP + UDP
  • 28999 TCP + UDP
  • 9103 TCP + UDP

    Still with me here? Good.

Next up you have to create the hamachi channel. This part is easy.
    1. Open LogMeIn Hamachi.
    2. Click on Network and click Create a new network.
    3. Create a network ID and a password if you want to.

If you are joining a created network:
    1. Open LogMeIn Hamachi.
    2. Click on Network and click Join and existing network.
    3. Enter the network ID and password (if there is a password).

When you get in make sure you have a direct tunnel even if the light is green by having both you and your friend right clicking on each other and clicking ping.
If you can't then follow the steps in the hamachi wiki guide to finding out what the problem might be. The solutions ARE in the wiki but if you have any problems that the wiki isn't helping you with, just add a reply and I will help you out.

I mentioned blocking MAC addresses earlier right? Don't list your MAC address on here (for obvious reasons), so I am going to use this as an example:

Say you're lagging hard core (and Silverfall already lags hard core online), what do you do? If it's because you're on a slow connection or being slowed down already and everyone else doesn't mind, you can block their MAC addresses in your router configuration. However anyone hard wired to the modem will not be blocked. I would only suggest this as a final resort to fix lag since it's not nice to family and friends living with you.

If you have any questions please let me know. Enjoy

    P.S.
This didn't take us long to figure out but the problems you encounter playing every now and then did take us awhile.
