Tower Guards are a solution to the various wildlife problems in Elysium. Previously the Barons used to man their walls with longbowmen, which is sufficient against Deer attacks, but when the Serpents and Spiders climb up the walls, they are almost useless. The tower guards can fire at long range against a closing enemy necessary and then engage any climbers in melee with their broadswords and shields to make short work of the invaders.
