August 18th, 1944.
For the past month the Allies have exploited the American breakthrough at St. Lo and have nearly encircled the whole of the German seventh army.
Until yesterday, a small gap remained, centered around the town of St. Lambert-sur-Dives, but with elements of the Canadian 4th Armoured Division having secured this small town, the Falaise Pocket is now a fact.
The German high command however, isn't willing to write off the 50,000 men inside the pocket just yet.
As the 1st Polish Division is holding off attempts to re-open the gap from the east, the Canadians must hold out against the increasingly desperate attacks from the west...

1944年8月18日
過去1ヶ月、連合軍はサンローにおけるアメリカ軍のめざましい進撃から戦線を押し広げ、
ドイツ軍第7軍全軍をほぼ包囲していた。
昨日まで、この包囲にはセントランバートの町を中心とした小さな隙間があったが、
カナダ第4軍がこの小さな町を確保したことで「ファレーズ・ポケット」は現実のものとなった。
しかしながら、ドイツ軍司令部はこのポケットの中にまさに包囲された5万人の兵士を見捨てるつもりなどなかった。
第1ポーランド師団が再度この隙間を開こうとする東からの攻撃を跳ね返している間、
カナダ軍は必死になっているドイツ軍による西からのどんどん激しさを増す攻撃に耐えなくてはならなかった…

連合ベースから最初の拠点までの道路の南側の塀の裏は、
一部がマップ範囲外だが走れば通過可能。そこから町の横の塀沿いはマップ範囲内なので、
正面の道路だけに気を取られていると裏から回り込まれる危険もある。
