Release 6.0: Character Skins Ahoy!

Release 6.0 will be on Production shortly. Here are the changes in this release:

• Character skins! You can read more about character skins HERE
• Updated News Display! We've redone the way news is displayed to highlight important stories.
• Updated the Nexus with a new Fall theme
• We've created a tool that will allow us to offer more Packages. The first package to use it will feature the new skins listed above.

Bug Fixes:

• Fixed Amulet of Resurrection's name and description to reflect its new functionality.
• If you switch weapons quickly you may disconnect from the game

Updates on some Known Bugs:

• Players on Steam are sometimes unable to purchase Gold. We are still working to resolve this issue.
• Items in soulbound bags are not put into normal bags if dragged into the play area
• We are also aware of and are using the OFFICIAL GENERAL UNIFIED BUG MEGATHREAD. Great way to keep track of all the community submitted bugs!

We have plans to add the ability to apply skins to existing characters in a future update.

With regards to the Character Deaths being removed from the News Modal, we know it's not ideal. We had to push back plans for a separate tab that could house all of your Character Deaths to the next release. We really wanted to fit it in, but it had to get axed so that we could get this out in time for the festival of eating. Look for this to be part of the upcoming build.

How To Select a Character Skin

The Realm of the Mad God Team is excited to present to you awesome Character Skins to beef up your Wizard, Archer, or even Priest! Once you purchase a Skin for one of your Characters, you will never lose your Skin if your Character dies--you’ll have it forever! Below is a step-by-step process on how to get your hands on a fun Character Skin. We will be featuring new Character Skins on a consistent basis, so check back with your Characters to see what’s new!

• 3 Character Skins:
  Traditional Skin for the Priest,
  Robin Hood Skin for the Archer,
  and a Merlin Skin for the Wizard

How to Select a Character Skin:
You can choose a skin whenever you begin a new character's life. After choosing the class you’d like to play as, you’ll be taken to a new screen where you can choose what skin you’d like to use for that character’s life.

Currently only the Wizard, Priest and Archer have additional skins, but more are coming soon!

• Log into your game and click on Play. Select New Character or if you’d like an additional Character Slot, select Buy Character Slot then click on New Character. You can also purchase additional Skins for a Class if they are available.

(NOTE: You will not be able to use the applied Skin on your existing Character. Once your Character dies or is deleted, you can select the Skin once again.)

• When the Class Screen pops up, choose the Class you wish to select a Skin for.

• Once you Select a Class, the Character Skin Modal will showcase the various Skins you can choose from. Remember, once you purchase a Skin or multiple Skins for a Class, the Skin will be available forever.

• Click Play and show off your new Character Skin!
• Can Cloths/Dyes be used on your new Character Skin? YES!
