About Damage Calculation

Attack and Siege Power

  • Attack power is the damage threshold for units on the field.
    • It's easy to get confused, but damage to buildings and building units can be refered to attack power.
  • The siege power is the damage threshold against the defensive wall.
    • Units do 1.5 times more damage against a 10-square wall in the center.
    • If the unit attacking the wall has less than 25% HP, its siege power is halved.

Damage Calculation Speed

  • DPS is the unit's attack (or siege) power * approx. 0.063.
    • So a unit with attack power X, it will take about 16 seconds to do X damage.
  • If multiple units attack the same target, the damage is calculated the same as if it were added up.

Unit Strengths and Weaknesses

  • If it's one vs one for the same class unit, the higher cost unit will win.
    • (Ally Attack*Ally HP) / (Enemy Attack*Enemy HP)
      • The commander Attack 5 HP 80 is even with a unit Attack 20 HP 20 (64 seconds to defeat with each other)
  • There is no bonus for attacking with more than one unit, so 1 unit with Attack 50 HP 50 > 2 units with Attack 30 HP 30 + Attack 20 HP 20 (because 1 unit dies first)
  • An infantry with a 10 speed 1 attack range will take 45 seconds to catch up to an archer with an 8 speed 4 attack range with a normal movement, so they need 2.84 times HP than their opponent's attack strength to get close. From there, it's a fistfight.
    • Unless you're on the wall and unless you have a better stats difference (you can't keep up with a mage in the first place).
