First, build your deck in the deck configuration.
For every deck, the number of cards requirement is 30 to 45.
You will place units in a 30x30 tiles maps, aim to destroy the enemy wall while protecting your wall and commander.

Standard Mode

At the beginning of the game (after the tutorial), you will unlock all the cards that can be used in standard mode.
In this mode, you can select 5 cards for your opening hand.
Since the battle starts with the 5 cards, the flow of the battle can be decided in the first few turns.
There are no penalty caused by not being able to draw the card.

Valiant Mode

Currently, fire and water elements are implemented.
In this mode, you can build a deck with the cards you have collected,
If you play in the standard mode above, you will accumulate two cards at a time.
First of all, I think it's a good idea to play in standard mode a few times and try valiant mode when you collected enough cards.
All commanders skill in standard mode are only "Inspire", but in valiant mode you can use each commander's own unique skill.
In standard mode you could select 5 cards for your opening hand, but in the valiant mode you can only select 1 card.
There are a lot more wide variety of cards and it's a different kind of fun than standard mode.
