 When Land of the Dead expires, you are granted 50 stacks of Macabre Knowledge. Macabre Knowledge increases the damage of Corpse Lance and Corpse Explosion by [150 - 200]%.(Necromancer Only)

Land of the Dead終了後、Macabre Knowledgeを50スタック得る。Macabre KnowledgeはCorpse LanceとCorpse ExplosionはMacabre Knowledgeのダメージを150–200%増加させる。

Necromancerの象徴的スキルとして扱われる割りにDiablo3では支援Legendaryが少ないCorpse Explosionのダメージ強化を持つ。
今作は画面上に存在できるCorpseに限界(最大16)があり、高難度ではそれらを使い切ってもCorpse Explosionでmobを倒しきれないこと、mobを処理できるスキルがあるならそちらを主砲に据えればいいと言えるゲームデザインから、結局のところCorpse消費ビルドはLand of the Dead中以外一切攻撃しないビルドに落ち着いていき、この装備も次のLand展開時にCEの威力を上げることに使われる。
所謂Land Only Buildは極端なプレイスタイルのためこの装備の使用者も決して多くはないが、アイテムとしては強化対象スキルを使うビルドが確実に必要とするCrit Damageが固定されているので良質。

Macabre Knowledgeスタックの消費は、消費するCorpse1個につき1スタックでカウントされる。
Corpse Lanceは1クリックでCorpseを1個消費するのでMacabre Knowledgeも1スタック消費する。
一方、Corpse Explosionは1クリックで最大5個のCorpseを消費するため、一発でMacabre Knowledgeを5スタック消費して最大1000%のダメージ強化となる。当然ながらLand of the Dead中は常に1クリックで5スタックを消費する。これがLand外で残っているCorpseにCEを撃たずに次のLandを待つ理由。

余談だが、Necromancer実装当時はLand of the Dead中に消費したCorpseの数に応じてMAX200スタックのMacabre Knowledgeを得られる装備だったため、Land of the Dead中に主砲のCorpse消費スキルとDevourを交互に連射するようなプレイが必要だった。修正で得られるMacabre Knowledgeスタック数が50固定になったため連射力は必要無くなったが、この変更もCorpse消費系ビルドがLand Only Buildに推移していく一要因になった。
