12. NASCAR Sanctioning
- 12.1
- . NASCAR Division will follow the F.I.R.S.T license progression requirement and the following series will constitute the NASCAR divisions. (See Table 11.1)
- 12.2.
- Points will be calculated in the same way as the FIRST‐sanctioned series (Ref: Section 4.6) in all NASCAR Divisions with the exception of the Drivers World Championship.
- 12.3
- . The NASCAR Drivers World Championship will use the NASCAR‐Sanctioned Points system without averaging.
- 12.4.
- Any driver leading a lap during the race will be awarded 5 bonus points with the driver leading the most laps of the race receiving an additional 5 bonus points. Counting the five‐point bonuses available for leading at least one lap and leading the most laps, a race winner can earn a maximum of 195 points, creating a possible maximum of 25 points between first‐ and second‐place finishers. (See Table 11.4)
- 12.5.
- All NASCAR Drivers World Championship Races will have at least one live Race Steward physically present during races.
- 12.6.
- NASCAR Competition Advisory Board
- 12.6.1.
- Members will include iRacing.com Staff and NASCAR Staff.
- 12.6.2.
- All appeals will be heard by the iRacing.com Appeals board which will contain at least one NASCAR official.
- 12.6.3.
- Appeals of penalties involving NASCAR Sanctioned events will be submitted to NASCAR.Appeal@iracing.com using the format as outlined in Sdection 9 of this document.
