  • グラフィックオプション内に次の新しい視覚オプションを追加
    • 周囲光強度（Ambient Light Intensity）
    • 太陽光強度（Sunlight Intensity）
    • アンビエントオクルージョン（Ambient Occlusion）
    • 被写界深度（Depth of Field）
    • アダプティブブルーム（Adaptive Bloom）
    • 視野角（Field of View）
    • コントラスト（Contrast）
  • グラフィックオプションに新たなカラーフィルターを追加（標準、白黒、セピア。規定は標準）
  • Added new screen effect filters (Normal [Default], Noise, CRT and Curved Edge CRT) to the Graphics Options.
  • Added a new vignette effect to the Graphics Options.
  • Added a new option in menu to reset options above back to default.
  • お気に入りの路線・シナリオ・車両を一覧でピン留めする機能を追加
  • Quick Driveの路線の順序に修正を適用
  • コンテンツのタイプ別ソートを適用 (公式/ワークショップ).
  • Added the ability to sort scenarios to show those that have already been completed.
  • Applied a fix to the Random Drive loco selection and making improving the logic for selecting content.
  • Quick DriveでAI列車が出現するかしないかの選択が可能に
  • TS2020のスプラッシュとロード画面に新しいデザインを追加

TS2020本体を新規・上書き購入すると、以下の路線が付属する。

エディション

国別のエディションが登場し、基本各路線に加えて特定国の1路線（中国は2路線）が追加される。

  • UK Edition - イギリスの路線から1路線、Riviera Line in the Fiftiesを追加。
  • US Edition - アメリカの路線から1路線、Hudson Line?を追加。
  • German Edition - ドイツの路線から1路線、Inselbahn?を追加。
  • Chinese Edition - 中国の路線から2路線、Guiguang High Speed Railway?,Longhai Railway?を追加。
