• \n[ff4444]Emergency situation detected.[-]\n[ff4444]Robinson Protocol UCH 101 activated![-]\n---\n\nFollow the instructions IDA is sending you.\nThey will be displayed in your helmet view\nand on the right side of the screen.\n\nYour [ff4444]PDA[-] (F1) has all necessary mission info and details. The [ff4444]EMPYRIOPEDIA[-] (F1) will supply additional info!\n\nCheck your Radar on the top right for\nunknown contacts and mission markers!\n\nGood luck, Chief.
You actually found the missing data from the TITAN!\n\nThe logs reveal that the enemy the UCH fleet was facing, is the so called ZIRAX EMPIRE.\n\nThey seem to have waited at the exit point of the fleet and directly attacked the vessels without warning.\n\nThe TITAN and other ships were lost in that battle.\n\nThose that did not crash on the planet due to the gravity, might still be in orbit.\n\nYou really need to find them anytime soon, as you found out something even more disturbing:\nRecalculating the time stamps of the log entries, there is a strange discrepancy to your suits internal systems.\n\nWhile you started on your journey in 2473, this is not 2473 - but, if the calcualtions are correct, 2483!\n\n10 years AFTER the fleet dispatched for Andromeda!\n\nThe turbulences when leaving Apollon station,\nthe failed experiment, the alien troops infesting the space station,\nthe fighting you faced until you managed to escape to hyperspace,\nthe fleet ambushed and its survival at least questionable\nas well as the time that has passed\nall these events seem to be interrelated.\n\nWhat has gone wrong? Did the sample from the stations engine room cause all this?\nMaybe the Experiments that were going on in the station?\n\nCake-eating scientists accidentally screwed up the whole mission?\n\nMaybe all this happened on purpose?\n\nOne riddle solved. A new one gotten...

• Escape Pod
A hard touchdown, but the Escape Pod looks pretty much intact.\n\n[ffff00]Check its inventory and pick up everything that is inside.[-]
• Check Pod Inventory

• Suit
Check your suit inventory [ff4444](TAB)[-] for helpful ingredients.\n\nYou can also use the build-in [ffff00]Survival Constructor[-] to create helpful tools.\nMake good use of the [ffff00]Survival Tool[-]. It offers a stone-drill mode, a deconstruction mode and a low-power defense mode.
• Check Inventory

You are not wearing any protective suit. Outside temperatures will have a strong effect on you. [ff4444]Remember:[-] [ffff00]At night[-] you can sleep 8h in the Escape Pod or in a [ffff00]Survival Tent[-] - for example when night is getting too cold!\n\n[ffff00]Explore the area around the crashsite[-] and pick up some plants and fruits you can directly eat.
This planet has no breathable atmosphere. You need to wear the helmet at all times.\nThe [ffff00]Emergency Generator[-] will create [ffff00]Small Oxygen Bottles[-] and [ffff00]Purified Water[-] but needs [ffff00]BioFuel[-]. You can create BioFuel from Fiber and Wood Logs in the [ffff00]Portable Constructor![-]\nUse the [ffff00]Defense Mode[-] of your Survival Tool to chop wood.\n\n[ffff00]Watch out for anything edible![-]

• Personal Logfile

• LOGFILE
2473, 25th - 20:00 - [bcd3d4]Farewell party with the team tonight. Hope Alex is coming over as well.[-]\n2473, 26th - 06:00 - [bcd3d4]Ouch...my head. What a hell of a night. Alex sent me a memo that we will meet up with the rest of the fleet at rendezvous point Alpha for the final Andromeda departure preparations.[-]\n2473, 26th - 06:00 - [bcd3d4]The eggheads in the Lab want me to check a security breach in the stations engine rooms. And their lasers are malfunctioning....again.[-]\n2473, 26th - 06:30 - [bcd3d4]Picked up a unknown material in a container next to the main core. Strange energy signature. Who has put this here?[-]\n2473, 26th - 09:00 - [bcd3d4]Managed to get to a save spot. What happened: Dropped the specimen in the Lab. Then all hell broke loose. Alien soldiers and creatures spawning throughout the station. Trying to get the people off the station.[-]\n2473, 26th - 12:00 - [bcd3d4]Leaving the station with the last freighter. Heading towards rendezvous point.[-]\n2473, 26th - 12:30 - [bcd3d4]I am late. Alex and the team have already moved to the TITAN in Jupiter orbit.[-]\n2473, 26th - 13:37 - [bcd3d4]I'll try to get there with a short warp jump. Fingers crossed.[-]\n????, ??th - ??:00 - [bcd3d4]That's bad. Jumped and then .. nothing. This is not Jupiter. Several contacts approaching the ship![-]\n????, ??th - ??:00 - [bcd3d4]These are not UCH vessels and they are blasting this ship to pieces. I'll try to get to an escape capsule.[-]\n????, ??th - ??:00 - [bcd3d4]Boarding parties have entered the ship. Same soldiers as in the station in Terra orbit. Fights destroyed my suit and no spare suit available. Managed to transfer IDA to the capsule. Time to leave.[-]\n????, ??th - ??:00 - [bcd3d4]From the capsules windows I can see an enormous field of debris where I came out of hyperspace. What is happening here? Where am...[-] (Log end)
I start to remember the details. Does explain WHAT happened..but not the WHY.\n\nAnyway, my gut feeling says, i'll find out soon.

• Distress Signal
[ff4444]TRACKING AN UNIDENTIFIED DISTRESS SIGNAL![-]\n\nCreate some [ffff00]Energy Bars[-], [ffff00]Bandages[-] or other food items in your Survival Constructor before (or while) going there.\nAlso make good use of the [ffff00]Survival Tool[-] and drill stones for ore or deconstruct wreckages for components when you come across them.
Find Signal Source
• Wreckage
Search through the wreckage and pick up everything you can find.\n\nThere should be a [ffff00]locker or personal container[-] or similar inside.
Check for stuff
Consider placing the Portable Constructor down and have a look if you can craft something useful already.\nAT FIRST, craft a [ffff00]Drill[-] to be able to drill underground deposits for larger ore quantities!\n\nNote: With the Portable Constructor you can build better personal equipment, tools, parts for Hover Vessels and Bases. Check the Techtree [ff4444](F3)[-] to unlocke more crafting templates.

• The Tower
A Datapad you found in the Wreckage revealed the position of a [ff4444]tower-like building[-] which might reveal more info about your situation.\n\nConsider building a light armor suit, some better weapons like a Pistol or a Shotgun and the appropriate ammo before going there!
• Find the Tower

• Suspicious Signal
There is a strong signal coming from inside the tower!
• Find Signal Emitter
It's a trap! The shaft has been blocked by massive plates!\n\nThe building material of this black tower is incredibly hard - no way to make a dent in it.

• Trapped
There is a low energy current like from a lever somewhere close to you. [ffff00]Push yourself against the already cracked walls[-] and see if you can break through.\n\nIf there is a lever, [ff4444]use it until it fully activates[-].\nPossibly this will remove the plates covering the exit!
• Use Lever

• Ancient Panels
The covers were not removed, but the button revealed some ancient inscription on the wall panels.
• Examine Room
The symbols are unknown, and also seem heavily weathered. The Tower must be very old. It is not an active station of any kind. Maybe a grave? A memorial?\nOne symbol group on the panels is repeated over and over. A name or a location?\n\nInscriptions were saved for a later translation.

• A way out
ATTENTION! Something is happening behind the red panel.\n\nStay away from it. Registering strong energy fluctuations!
• Escape

• Beasts attack
ATTENTION! Enemy creatures at your position. Hunt them down before they can catch you!
• Kill Creatures

• Tactical Retreat
If you got wounded, use the appropriate medical item. Place it in your toolbar and [ff4444]Left-Mouse click[-] or make a [ff4444]SHIFT + Right-Mouse click[-] to directly consume it.\n\nHead back to the wreckage and pick up usable stuff while going there. Don't forget to unlock new tech in the Techtree.
• Back to Wreckage
If you want to make this wreckage your first base, build a [ffff00]CORE[-], a [ffff00]Solar Panel[-] and a [ffff00]Capacitor (Solar)[-].\n\nPlace the devices onto the wreckage and check the Portable Constructor for more suitable base devices!

• Unidentified Vessel
Energy signature detected, relaying to a position far away from your current location. The energy signature is identical to those known from UCH command vessels! Finally!\n\nBefore going there, consider building better equipment, weapons and a [ffff00]Hover Vessel[-] for being better protected at long travel distances. You can also spawn a basic model from the Blueprint Factory [ff4444](F2)[-]!
• Go to Signal
It is the TITAN! It is showing a lot of weapon fire damage. The weathered hull looks like it has crashed here years or decades ago...strange.\n\nCheck the wreckage for more info, but stay alerted. Those who caused this disaster might still be around!

• The TITAN
The scans indicate that the TITAN broke into three parts.\n\nIn case they are not close by, [ff4444]make use of the DETECTOR[-] you just found in the wreckage and find the two remaining parts to retrieve more info.
• Find TITAN Mid Part

• TITAN MID Part
This part is showing a low power positioning signal or energy current of a container or locker on one end of the wreckage.\n\n[ffff00]Go and check what it is[-].
• Check Energy Current
The datapad you found shows some strange scratches, which look similar to the symbols in the Alien tower.\n\nSomeone also wrote the words [ffff00]Zirax, Talon[-] and [ffff00]Ancient[-] next to it.

• TITAN BACK Part
The datapad is severely damaged and the info are incomplete.\n\nPossibly there is more info on the bridge in the back part and engine compartment of the TITAN!
• Find TITAN Back Part

• The TITAN Bridge
[ffff00]Find a way up to the bridge and find the answer to this riddle[-].\n\n You should find answers up there!
• Find Answers

This does not explain the weathered material of the UCH vessel wreckages,\nbut at least the datapad had some coordinates of a Radar Station, where the attack was suspected to be commanded from.\n\nYou should go there, but before, build some better weapons and an armored, weaponized attack vessel\n\n[ffff00]Consider building a Base to get better constructors, weapons and equipment necessary for this undertaking.[-]\n[ff4444]You should bring a Hover Vessel with a Clone Chamber for having a protected area when being revived![-]

The data indicates that the RADAR station is heavily defended!\nWhen you get there, either [ffff00]deal with the defenses[-] or alternatively check the larger perimeter buildings for an [ffff00]alternative way to get inside.[-]\n\nPrimary Mission: You first need to find the [ffff00]Remote Mainframe Access Lever[-] in one of the the Control Rooms in the main compound. The data has been erased from the logfiles, but the remaining traces indicate there is a backup saved in the hidden Mainframe building itself!\n\n[ffff00]Go to the Uplink Control[-], then [ffff00]find the Lever to start the Log Downloads[-].
• Find Uplink Control

• Mainframe
Be careful when fighting! There is a Lever on the wall on the upper galery but this one does not seem to activate the uplink. [ff4444]Do NOT destroy the lever![-]\n\n[ffff00]Find out how to get to the Mainframe.[-]
• Go to Mainframe

VERY IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ FIRST
VERY IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ FIRST

• How To FACTION MISSION
If someone in your team starts a faction mission, he becomes the LEADER and in his mission list, 'Leader' will show up next to the mission title.\n\nThis is important, because only the leader will receive the rewards of a completed mission. He is responsible to share it with his team.\n\nAs soon as someone started a Faction Mission as a leader, all faction members will see 'Running' next to the mission in their own mission list.\n\nIf you want to participate and contribute, select the mission and click the 'Acitvate Mission' button. 'Running' will turn into 'Supporter' to indicate that now your contributions are counted for the missions goals!
Known issues and CONSTRAINT
Important Note: Faction Missions are still a work-in-progress feature with one important technical constraint:\n\nMission progress will not be saved\nThis means: Other than for Singleplayer Missions and the Tutorial Chapters, a Faction Mission needs to be completed in ONE pass. If you deactivate the mission, progress will be lost (a warning will be displayed, though). Same happens if the mission leader leaves the server.\n\nThis behaviour will be improved as soon as possible. Until then, we have set up the Faction Missions in a way that should allow having fun, but not needing to invest hours and hours and risk loosing progress.

GAME MECHANICS Q&A

• Global Game Mechanics - Part I
Global Game Mechanics - Part I
• Dying / Backpack / Swimming / Faction
Q: I died and dropped a backpack – how does this work?\n- A backpack will drop with your inventory stuff included. A small flag will be shown on your Radar Map (top right).\n- Your backpack will vanish after 15 Minutes if you or someone else does not pick it up.\n- Backpacks can be looted by anyone. They are not protected either in PvE nor PvP worlds.\n\nQ: How do I swim?\nEmpty your hands to swim. If you hold a weapon or tool in your hands, you will sink to the ground.\n\nQ: What is the 'faction' setting in the Control Panel all about?\nYou can set a faction and decide who can use your stuff: \n- Public = anyone can use/work on it with tools\n- Public = only Owner can use / work on it with tools\n- Faction = only Faction members can use /work on it with tools
• Techtree
Q: What is the Techtree (F3)?\n- When you progress through the game (SP and MP) you gain XP for doing certain things. Each level up will add some Unlock points at your disposal. Use them to unlock more advanced stuff in the Techtree.\n- A lot of basic blocks and devices can be built without having to be unlocked. \n- If you think you are missing something in the template folder of your Constructor, have a look at the Techtree if it has been unlocked already!
Offline Protection
Q: How does the Offline Protection work?\n- If you have equipped a Capital Vessel or a BA with the Offline Protection Device, and your Base or Capital Vessel is either set to your faction, this will activate a shield when you leave the server. Your BA or Capital Vessel does NOT need to be powered and it does not use up fuel packs! \n- The OP has a timer that can be set by the Admin. Default setting is 48 real-time hours (2 days). \n- For factions with more than one member, the OP activates only if ALL faction members have left the server.
• ALT Look Mode
Q: How to use the ALT-look Mode?\n- Hit V to switch to the 3rd Person view. Then hit ALT only ONCE and the camera view gets un-docked from your Player Avatar or Vessel. Use the mouse to move the camera view. Use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out\n- You can still walk/fly by using the Arrow-Keys and the WASD +Q/E commands\n- The ALT-look mode also works in 1st Person, for example when sitting in a Cockpit!
• PvP vs PvE
Q: What is the difference between PvP and PvE planets/orbits?\nWhen you open the map (M) you can see a list of planets and orbits. Click on one of them and you'll notice a green PvE or red PvP. This is more relevant for Multiplayer, though. \n\n- PvE: No other players can damage you or your vessel or base with weapons or tools. Only Alien drones and Alien creatures can do so. Vice-versa: you can destroy Alien bases with your weapons (but NOT with tools!) and any wildlife.\n\nThere is only one exception: As soon as you destroy the Core of an Alien POI and/or swap it with your own Base Core, the blocks of the structure are becoming immune to weapon fire. You need to work on this former Alien POI with the Remove & Repair tool.\n\n- PvP: Anything goes. You or your structures are NOT protected in any way as long as you are online. Build an Offline Protection device to protect your PvP-Bases and Capital Vessels while you are offline.

• Registry
Q: What is the Registry?\nThe Registry is a repository of all your vessels and bases. \n\nQ: Where do i find the Registry\nOpen your inventory and find the Registry-button in the icon row on the top.\nQ: What is the purpose of the Registry?\nYou can manage your Vessels and Bases from remote if you are in the same playfield.\n- You can not use all base features. For example you can not access Constructors or Turrets from remote.\n-You can set a persistent WAYPOINT to mark the targeted vessel or base on your HUD. This is persistent when leaving the playfield or game\n\nQ:Which structures are listed in the Registry?\n- Your private structures and vessels.\n- Structures and vessels of your faction.
Marketplace
Q: What is the Marketplace?\nThe Marketplace is a place to buy and sell stuff.\n\nQ: How can i access the Marketplace?\nOpen the inventory and find the Marketplace button in the icon row on the top.
• Map Markers
"Q: What are map markers?\nA1: You can set notifiactions freely on your map. Just RMB on a spot on the MAP and give it a name. This will add your marker to your personal list.\n
A2: When you open the MAP, you will find your Map Markers in the upper right tab.\n\nQ: How do i add a map marker?\n1. Press M\n2. RMB on any place on the map\n3. Add a name\n4. ACCEPT\n\nQ: What is the WAYPOINT checkbox doing?\nIf you check this box, the marker will change to orange and will give you a direction. The marker can be seen through the playfield terrain.\n\nQ: What is REMOVE ON APPROACH checkbox doing?\nIf you only want to set a temporary marker, check this together with waypoint and the waypoint mode will be cleared from your Hud when approaching (~50m)\n\nQ: What are the 2-letter buttons on the right side doing?\nPV = your private list of markers\nPU = public list of markers. Use the SC button to share your PV marker to the PU list\nSM = show marker on the map\nED = edit highlighted marker (you can also RMB the marker on the map)\nRM = remove highligthed marker (also possible with RMB the marker on the map)\nSC = Share marker to PU list\n\nQ: Can i also add a map marker in space?\nOf course!"

• Temperature - Radiation - Weather
Temperature - Radiation - Weather
• Temperatur
[i[Q: What do the 2x3 number blocks aka environmental info below the radar minimap want to tell me?\nA1: The upper block is the TEMPERATURE. The big number on the left is the temperature at your CURRENT POSITION. The small upper number is your current BODY TEMPERATURE. The small lower number is only shown if you are inside a base or vessel. This is telling you the OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE. If you are outside a base or vessel, this is of course the same as the CURRENT LOCATION temp (and thus removed from the HUD to reduce confusion)\nA2: The lower block is the RADIATION. The big number on the left side is the radiation level on your CURRENT POSITION. The small upper number is yoour BODY RADIATION level. The small lower number is the OUTSIDE RADIATION. Same principle as with temperature: The latter is only shown when you are inside a vessel or a base and is removed if you are outside.\n\nQ: How does Temperature work in general?\nA1: Each Planet has a MAX and MIN temperature. The max temperature is reached at 5 pm and the min temperature at 5 am. If you go higher up in the air, the temperature will decrease. Your suit will protect you from extreme temperatures - depending on its TempMIN/MAX protection. (Can be enhanced by Boosters).\nA2: Space always has -270°C for most orbits (except a few) and is not suitable for ANY of the current suits for a longer stay (unboosted)\n\nQ: Am i protected from high/low temperatures inside a base or vessel?\nIf it is activated, yes. If a station or vessel is powered, the temperature is heated up to 22-25° (Same for enclosed cockpits for SV and HV). So you are fine even with your interior suit. BUT this will not happen instantly! If your base is cooled to space temperature, it might take quite a while to heat up to a suitable temperature! No instant-heat-up!\n\nQ: What happens if i am outside with a suit that can not protect me from high/low temperatures?\nA1: If the temperature is higher or lower as your protection level, your body temp will slowly rise (or fall) towards the temperature at your current position. At a certain temperature, you will start to feel cold/heated up.\nA2: If it is too cold or hot outside, just go back into your base or vessel. This will heat up/cool down your body temp. BUT THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN INSTANTLY. If this takes too long, you'll of course die.\nA3: Tip: there are some foods and beverages that increase/decrease body temperature!\n\nQ: Does a hull breach lead to the temperature dropping inside a base or vessel?A: Yes!
• Radiation
Q: How does Radiation work in general?\nSome of the planets and space has a certain amount of radiation. Radiation does not rise or decrease, it is constant for the whole playfield. The player armors have different protection values (which can be boosted). The interior suit does NOT protect you from any RAD level!\n\nQ: Am i protected from Radiation inside a base or vessel?\nYes, even if it's deactivated. (this might be subject to change in the future)\n\nQ: What happens if i am outside with a suit that does not protect me from the RAD level?\nA1: Your body radiation (small upper number on the right environment info block) will pile up and lead to serious problems after short.\nA2: Unlike with temperature, your BODY-RAD level will NOT automatically decrease if you return to a base or go back into your vessel. You need to use medication to reduce it ... or maybe take a shower? ;-)\n\nQ: Does a hull breach in an radiated area lead to the inside of the base/vessel to be contaminated?\nCurrently there is no permanet contamination. But if you stand at the position of the hull breach, your radiation level might rise (although you are inside the base).\n\nQ: Are there weather or environmental effects with radiation?\nYes! Occasional Radioactive Fog and Mist have been reported from some planets.
Temp and Rad for devices and blocks
Q: Do devices also have temperature and radiation?\nYES! Some of the devices will heat up or radiate the area around them, like Thrusters and Generators and Warpdrives.\n\nQ: Can other blocks have temperature and radiation as well? Yes. For example the green Alien Building blocks are radioactive.\n\nQ: Does the heat 'flow' into the room?\nCurrenty there is no 'transition zone'. For devices, the radiation/temperature is limited to a fixed perimeter of ONE block around them. This is subject to change in the future.
• Global Info
Q: Is the weather dynamic?\nYes. Weather will change during day and night between the weather-options, given in the yaml of the planet.\n\nQ: Which weather types are currently available?\nA: Open console and type in 'help weather' > all available settings are visible there. You can also trigger a weather change there as admin or in singleplayer.\n\nQ: Does weather affect the player like with temperature or radiation increase/decrease?Absolutely! You should go inside if a blizzard starts (if you are not equipped good enough) or if radioactive fog is rising.\n\nQ: Does weather effects like meteors or lightnings damage player or structures?\nA: A player can get harmed by sudden temperature rise/drops and radioactivity and by acid rain or fire rain/meteor fire storm. There is currrently no effect on bases or vessels (yet).

• Oxygenated Rooms
Oxygenated Rooms
• How to oxygenate
Q: What do i need to oxygenate a base or vessel?\nA1: You need an O2 tank and a ventilator. And your base needs to be powered.\nA2: Place the ventilator in each room that you want to be oxygenated and add some O2 to the O2 tank. Open the control panel. Activate the base and tick the checkbox 'O2'. This will fill up all the rooms with a ventilator with O2 - given your O2 capacity is high enough. The ventilator needs to be 'active' of course.\nA3: Use the DEBUG MODE in the Build Helper Menu (N) to visualize O2.\nA4: If your O2 capacity/filling status is too low to oxygenate your base, the process will fail. Add more O2 Tanks or O2.\n\nQ: How long does it take for a large room to be filled with O2?\nThis happens pretty instant (maybe a second or two)\n\nQ: How do i know how much O2 i need to fill all the rooms that are connected?\nLook for the OXYGEN stats in the STATISTICS tab of the Control Panel. There are three values given to indicate demand, tanksize and current fillstate of the base.\n- If a hull breach happens, the O2 in this room is lost, BUT the vents will not try to refill the affected room! So the ventilator is still active, but will not waste precious O2.\n\n- If you deactivate your base and your O2 tanks are full, the O2 in your base is lost.\n\n
• Gameplay Questions
Q: Are oxygenated rooms available for all vessels and structures?\nYes!\n\nQ: Do i consume less O2 when i am in an oxygenated room with helmet off compared to helmet equipped?\nYes! But you even use up your suit O2 less fast if your helmet is still unfolded in an oxygenated base.\n\nQ: Are there different pressure levels?\nNo. The atmosphere in a room either has O2 or not.\n\nQ: Which blocks are airtight?\nA: Have a look at the block info panel for infos about airtight value. Most of the doors are airtight for example - but not all. Airtight doors have a blue containment field active while sealing a room\n\nQ: Can i switch off the containment field of a door to let O2 flow?\nNot yet.\n\nQ: What happens if i open a door? Will O2 flow in the next room?\nBasically no. There are non-airtight doors that do not hinder the flow of O2 either open or closed. All other doors (including hangar doors, shutter doors) have a sealing field to keep the O2 inside. This field can not (yet) be deactivated per manually, but depends on the global on/off status of the base.\n\nQ: Does O2 get lost if i open a hangar door and deactivate the base?\nNo. If you deactivate your base, a decompressing sequence is run and all the O2 is moved back into the tanks (if there is enough room. If not, the excess is lost).\n\nQ: Does O2 get lost if someone blasts a hole in may base / If i remove a block thats leading to a hole in the wall?\nA1: IF this is a 'hull breach' to the non-O2 outside world or space either by damage or by removing the 'wrong block' the O2 in the room is lost.\nA2: In this case, the Ventilator is not shut down, but it also will not try to refill the room. So no additional O2 is lost after the hull breach happens.\n\nQ: Do players in my base use up the O2 in the tanks?\nA: YES! If you are in your base (helmet off) you and any other player will use up a certain amount of O2 over time (reducing the total amount > T )

Player Armor- Boosters - Durability - Repair
• Player Armor
Q: Which player armors are currently available?\nLight, Medium, Heavy. If you do not equip any suit, you are still wearing your'Interior Suit'. This one has no protection from Temperature and Radiation, no Jetpack, not booster slots - but also is not limited in movement, jump height and other parameters.\n\nQ: Can i build all of them?\nCurrently not. You can only build the LIGHT ARMOR. You need to find the MEDIUM and HEAVY suits in POIs/in loot.\n\nQ: Do i loose a player armor if i die?\nNo. You spawn with your last-used player armor equipped.\n\nQ: How can i change my player armor?\nYou need to go to a Armor locker. Access the device and change suits or add/remove boosters\n\nQ: Can i repair my player armor?\nYes. You need a REPAIR STATION. Just place the item in the inventory and click REPAIR.\n\nQ: Can i store my armors in the Armor Locker?\nA: Yes!
• Boosters
Q: Which types of boosters are available at the moment?\nArmor, Jetpack, Temperature, Radiation, O2, Mobility, Multi, EVA.\n\nQ: How many boosters can i use simultaneously?\nDepends on the slots available. This is different for each Player Armor. Interior Suit has no booster slots.\n\nQ: Are there limitations how many boosters of the same kind i can use simultaneously?\nNo. You can for example stuff all of the slots with Armor Boosters...but you migh also pile up the penalties each of the boosters has.\n\nQ: Can i build all of the boosters?\nNo, boosters need to be found or traded. You can not build them (yet).\n\nQ: Where do i get boosters?\nBoosters are available from loot. More possibilities will be added in the future.\n\nQ: Do i loose boosters if i die?\nCurrently not. You are respawned in your last equipped player armor incl. the boosters that were added to this player armor\n\nQ: How can i change / apply boosters?\nYou need to go to a Armor locker. Access the device and change suits or add/remove boosters\n\nQ: Do i need to re-add boosters every time i change the player armor?\nNO! The boosters are saved to your Player Armor slots. So you can stuff several player armors with a variation of boosters and just need to swap the player armor to have the setup re-applied!
• Durability and Repair
"Q: Which items are affected by durabiliy?\nT2 Weapons and Suits. (Basic weapons and tools currently have no durability: pistol, shotgun, assault rifle, sniper).\n\nQ: How does durability work for weapons?\n
A: When you shoot the weapon there is a chance that durability is reduced.\n\nQ: How does durability work for suits?\nDurability is reduced when you get hit by a weapon. There is no 'idle degredation' for just using the armor or standing around, only damage.\n\nQ: Can i repair my suit?\nYes. You need a REPAIR STATION. Just place the item in the inventory and click REPAIR.\n\nQ: Can i repair my weapons?\nYes. You need a REPAIR STATION. Just place the item in the inventory and click REPAIR."

"Q: Can i build Portals or Teleporters in Survival?\nNo\n\nQ: How do Portals work?\nA1: Just walk up to the Portal and hit F. They will transport you to a instanced playfield that is not part of the solar system by default\nA2: If the portal is RED = no destination set or blocked. If the portal is BLUE = portal has a destination.\nA3: You can see the destination in the upper right corner of your screen when pointing at the portal!\n\nQ: How do Teleporters work?\nA1: Walk into the Teleporter, face the console and hit F. The transporter will teleport you to the destination he was set to. (Works between playfields. For example orbit<>planet )
A2: You can see the destination of the teleport in the upper right corner of your screen when pointing at the teleporter in front of you!\n\nQ: For builders > How do i set a destination for Portals and Teleporters?\nOpen console > activate 'godmode invisble' > face the portal or the teleport and hit F > enter a destination. The destination base needs a teleporter / portal as an exit point!!\nA1: Teleporters > IF you want to connect to a destination on the same playfield, just add the name of the target base. IF you want to connect to a destination that is not on the same playfield, just use the base and the playfield, seperated by a : > Example: Outpost:Akua\n
A2: Portal > If you want to connect your instance, use the base name and the playfield name, seperated by a : as well, where 'playfield' is the instance name in this case.\n\nQ: Can i target a certain teleporter in a specific base on a specifc playfield?\nOf course. Syntax:\nBlockname@Basename: Playfield\nNote:\n- You can only rename blocks if grouped.\n- The 'Basename' is the name of your base as seen ingame in your HUD (not the blueprint-filename or anything else)\n- If you want to pre-set the Base-Name when using custom POIs, use the 'Spawn Name' of your blueprint (double-click on the bluprint in your libary to set the spawn-name!)\n\nQ: Are teleporters/portals available for SV,HV,CV and BA?\nNo, only for BA"
• Instances
"Q: Are Instances limited for number of players or by 12:47:10\nDepends on how the creator has set it up. Can be done in the playfield.yaml of the instance.
Instance:\nTime: 100 # minutes until this instance has to be completed and players are kicked\nMaxPlayers: 3 # portal closes after his amount of players entered\nPortalOpen: 120 # seconds the portal is open\nCooldown: 90 # seconds the portal is closed after it was open (cooldown time)\n\nQ: Can i re-enter my instance?\nA1: Yes. The portal to your instance is shown purple in this case.\nA2: Re-entering an instance is possible as long as the instance is 'alive' (TIME setting)\n\nQ: Can other players follow me into the instance?\nA1: Bascially yes. They can follow you as long as a) there is more than 1 player allowed and b) in this case as long as the portal is open.\n\nQ: Do i have to wait until a player or group has 'finished' the instance?\nNo, there can be multiple parallel instances.\n\nQ: Can i use the blueprint libary in an Instance?\nCan be set on/off by the creator in the yaml of the playfield.\n\nQ: What happens when the time runs out on a instance and i am still inside?\nYou get teleported outside the instance and either keep your stuff or loose all your stuff. This can be adjusted by the creator in the playfield.yaml"

• Structural Integrity (SI)
Structural Integrity (SI)
• How does SI Work?
Here are a few basic SI rules you need to take into account: \n\n1. Only blocks that are touching the ground will be 100% stable (does not depend on the material used) \n\n2. You can only achieve 100% stability for a vertical row of blocks, if the lowest block is touching the ground. If you have a 100% stable block, a so called 'anchor block', you can build a vertical pillar on top of it as high as the sky. There is no vertical limit (yet). \n\n3. If you add blocks to such a 100% stable pillar in any horizontal direction, so each block that is attached in a row, any additional block will have a lower stability - until the row reaches a breaking point. The maximum range or breaking point for a horizontal, floating, not supported beam made out of any of the four base materials is 12 blocks. Note: The anchor block will keep its stability, as there is no such thing as shear force (yet)! Tip: if your line or area of blocks is showing weak spots, just build a supporting pillar! \n\n4. Do not put heavy materials or devices on top of a already weak beam or weak foundation. You might risk the construction to collapse and your devices will be destroyed.
• My Base Collapsed
Q: My base has suddenly broken apart. What did i do wrong?\n- If you started a blueprint from Pre-Alpha, first start a creative game, switch off SI (Open Console with Tabulator button, enter 'SI off') and make a new blueprint. This will fix most of the problems – except a non-SI conform design.\n- Hold N and select the SI Overlay to visualize the structural integrity of your base while building. \n- Technical note: The SI is recalculated with every new block you are adding or removing - not in advance!
• Deactivate SI
Q: Can i deactivate SI?\nYes, but only for Singleplayer. Open the Console (TAB by default) and type in 'SI off'.

• Building Materials
Q: Which building materials are available in the game?\nYou can choose from four different materials: \n- Wood: easy to acquire in large numbers from all trees (use Chainsaw or Harvester Module), but very low HP and Armor.\n- Concrete: a good and durable alternative to steel and very easy to craft in high numbers. You only need rock dust.\n- Steel: not changed.\n- Hardened Steel: the most durable material in the game, twice the hitpoints compared to steel – but also needs twice the time and resources to produce.
• Block Shapes and Families
Q: How do i access the shapes for the building blocks (SURVIVAL & CREATIVE)?\nMove a building block to your toolbelt. Highlight it and hit RIGHT-MOUSE button. This will open the new block-manager with all the shapes.\n\nQ: Which of the building blocks are organized in such 'block families', available with the new block-shapes menu?\nCurrently the following building blocks are organized that way: Basic Building Block Materials (wood, concrete, steel, hardened steel), Windows, Truss, Stairs, Walkways, Deco (beds etc.), Consoles (Deco), Artificial Indoor Plants and Alien Blocks (for creative only).
• Rotating Blocks
Q: How does the block rotation work?\nYou can rotate blocks BEFORE and AFTER you have placed them: \n\nBEFORE: If you want to place a new block, you might notice a green line sticking out from the block. This is the ROTATION AXIS. Change with INSERT or DELETE (Default). If you use HOME or END (default), the block will rotate around the Axis line clockwise or counter-clockwise! Use PAGE UP and PAGE DOWN buttons to move the block up and down vertically! \n\nAFTER: If you placed a block and would want to rotate it afterwards, you need to equip theMultitool and use its Rotation-Mode (Select via RMB). Aim at a block and you will see the ROTATION AXIS. From here, rotating the block works like when placing a new block (INS/DEL to change Axis, HOME/END to rotate the block).
• Block Lines and Planes
Q: Is it possible to place blocks as a line or in a larger plane?\nYES! HOLD the left mouse button to drag a line of blocks. Hold STRG+left mouse button to create a plane area of blocks. Important Tip: when creating a plane are, make sure your stand is higher than the area you want to place. This makes it a lot easier to drag the plane from the start- to the end-point without getting in trouble with your view. And: you cannot place an endless line or an endless plane.
• Move Wireframe / Remove Dirt
Q: Do I need to flatten the terrain ahead of placing a base starter block?\nNo. You can move the preview- wireframe UP and DOWN ahead of placing it. Please have a look in the Options menu to which keys this action is currently bound to (Default Page Up and Page down).\n\nQ: I have built my base into a hill and need to remove the dirt. Does the drill or flatten mode of the Multitool damage my base blocks?\nNo.\n\nQ: How do i remove blocks without using the Multitool Tool in CREATIVE?\nUse SHIFT-rightmouse click (This has been changed from pre-alpha as right-click also brings up the block-manager now)\n\nQ: The night is so dark – what can I do?\nPlace some work lights! \n\nTip: The Player Drone (F5) can do ALL of the building tasks as well!

• No O2 in Cockpit
Q: I am dying from a lack of O2 while sitting in a cockpit!\nYou need to add an O2 tank, filled with O2 bottles to your vessel. Otherwise you'll use up your suit O2. This also applies to Passenger Seats in any vessel.\nNOTE: This only applies to a non-O2 environment. You will NOT die from a lack of O2 if your vessel is in an O2-rich environment (oxygenized Hangar or Planet)
• Hover Vessel Flipped
Q: My Hover Vessel has flipped to the side? \nUse SHIFT and it will upright itself (if there is enough empty room).
• Align to Horizon (SV
Q: I can't manage to align my Small or Capital Vessel to the horizon / can't get to a stable hovering position? \nHold O (default) and your vessel will align to the horizon and gain a stable hovering position. This won't work in space, though.
• CV turns only very slowly
Q: My Capital Vessel turns very slow and I hate dragging the mouse for hours? \nEither add more RCS or use the ARROW KEYS for turning your Capital Vessel! Combine both and steering a large Capital Vessel will become much easier!
• Multi Cockpit Rules
Q: Can I add more than one cockpit to my vessel?\nOf course! But remember: \n- The player that enters any cockpit AT FIRST will be the pilot of the ship. \n- If this cockpit is 90° or 180° to your mounted weapons, this pilot will not have the mounted weapons on this toolbelt/at his disposal. \n- Only players that sit in a cockpit parallel to the alignment of any mounted weapon can use them.

• Triggers - Sensors - Signal Logic
Triggers - Sensors - Signal Logic
• Triggers and Sensors
"Q: What are 'triggers'?\nA1: In 6.0 we added a range of sensors that can send a signal to devices, thus changing their operation parameters. For example: pull a lever and have a door closed or a light switched off.\n
A2: Current triggers / sensors: Trigger plate, Light barrier, Motion sensor, Lever..\n\nQ: Are there different types of sensors?\nA: Yes! The lever has a defined On/Off status. If you move it into ON position, the signal is sent constantly to the device. Most of the other sensors are 'switches'. They only send the signal as long as a player or the vessel is in their detection range. See more details in EXAMPLES in 'How to setup'."
• How to setup
"Q: What can we do with basic triggers / sensors in the moment?\nBasically create simple logics: Activate devices, Open / close devices, Lock / unlock devices. Different devices may offer some, all or a selection of these actions (Depending on what the device can do)\n\nQ: Can i create more complex circuits?\nYes, see the chapter about SIGNLA LOGIC!\n\nEXAMPLES (for easy sensor-trigger builds)\n\n= Modes =\n\n1. FOLLOW\n
Lever: Move handle to ON = ON. OFF = OFF\nSwitch: Enter the trigger area = ON, Leave the trigger area = OFF\n\n2. TOGGLE\nLever: Do not use with lever (works, but you might need to pull the handle 2x to get an effect)\n
Switch: Enter and leave the trigger area = switches the status of the device (to ON if OFF, to OFF if ON)\n\n3. ON and OFF\nLever: Do not use (makes no sense)\nSwitch: sets status of the device to a dedicated ON or OFF status (not using its previous state!) Triggering the trigger again will not have an effect (ON-TIME-change)\n\n= How to SETUP =\n\n1. Place a trigger (lets use a trigger plate)\n2. Face the Trigger Plate and hit P\n3. If the Trigger Plate is highlighted in CP, you'll notice a new text below the device list: Tx Signal [field]\n4. Enter TEST to the field and hit return\n5. Place a Light\n6. Face the Light and hit P\n7. If the Light is highlighted in the CP, you'll notice a new entry ON/OFF as well as two dropdowns and a checkbox with an ' I ' below the device list\n7a: Expand the first dropdown and you'll find your TEST command. Select the TEST command to connect the Light to your Trigger Plate\n7b: Expand the second dropdown > You can use FOLLOW, TOGGLE, ON and OFF to trigger the Explosives.\n\nNow ...\n- IF you want a Player to have the light switched to ON or OFF when he touches the trigger plate, use either ON or OFF\n- IF you want the light to switch to OFF if it was ON (or vice versa), use TOGGLE\n- IF you want the light to only shine as LONG as the player is on the plate, use FOLLOW\n- IF you want the light to dim as LONG as the player is on the plate, use FOLLOW and toggle INVERT ( I checkbox)"
• Handling Tips
Q: Can i trigger several devices from the same sensor?\nYES! Just use the SAME signal name in each of the devices. This way it is possible to - for example - switch a range of lights on or off with only one button/sensor\n\nQ: Can i trigger a device from several sensors?\nYes, just use SIGNAL LOGICs!\n\nQ: Can i trigger the NPC spawners (for POI design)?\nYes! Place the NPC spawner and switch it OFF in the Control Panel. Then just connect your sensor. If a player triggers the sensor, the NPCs will be spawned.\n\nQ: Can i trigger the PORTAL (for Instances)?\nOf course!\n\nQ: Can i adjust the range and area of sensors?\nFor some sensors like motion sensor and light barrier, this is possible. Just access the sensor (aim at it and hit P) and you'll see its range and a range slider.\n\nQ: Do sensors only trigger for players and vessels?\nA1: Yes, sensors trigger for both player avatars and vessels.\nA2: Please note: Motion Sensor and Light Barrier are active as long as a player or vessel is in their field of view. They do NOT deactivate if you just stand still at your position!
• Signal Logic
"Note: Signal Logic is an extention of the Signal/Trigger mechanic, offering new ways on how to connect sensors and triggers in certain, more elaborate ways. Hit the SIGNAL LOGIC button on top of the Control Panel to access.\n\nQ: What is the purpose of SIGNAL LOGIC circuits?\nThey allow you to do things that the standard device-based signal-dropdown would not allow you to do, like connecting different sensors to a several other devices.\n\nQ: How do i use it?\nPretty much the same as you would set up a sensor-trigger array..but with more paramters/options/gates, like AND, OR, XOR, Inverter, Delays (more planned).\n\nQ: How do i set it up?\nSame as above: Have some sensors placed at your structure. Access them directly or via Control Panel and give them a unique signal name. Then open SIGNAL LOGIC, add a new circuit. Select your sensor signal on the left side. Add a name for the output signal on the right side. Got to the devices that you want to manage with the circuit and add the output signal to your devices signal dropdown.\n\nQ: What are the different gates do?\nAND = All sensors added to the circuit need to trigger for the signal to be send. Example: If you have 2 trigger plates, the light will only be on if both plates are triggeret at the same time (on player standing on each)\nOR = If one or more of the added sensors are triggered, the signal is send to the device. Example: A light is illuminated if you stand on of the trigger plates, but also if both plates are triggered.\nXOR = sends signal only if only ONE of the two attached sensors is activated. Does not trigger if both sensors are active. Example: the light will only illuminate if exactly one plate is triggered. If both are triggered, no signal is sent and the light remains dark.\n
INVERTER = inverts the signal (f.ex. to OFF if an ON signal is sent). Example: A light is switched off if you step on a trigger plate. Also ueful when you have two triggers and you need them both to be the same in order to pass an AND gate.\nSET/RESET Latch = Use for two sensors: sensor A sets and sensor B resets if triggered.\nDELAY = creates a simple delay modificator for a single-signal. Click on the button-box to add a value (seconds)\n\nQ: Can i combine the singals coming from a circuit and use it in a new circuit?\nOf course! Just use the outgoing signal name and select it for the input side. You can create complex circuits this way. Of course you should not delete the underlying circuit for your enhanced circuit or it will break the queue."

Q: I can't create a Blueprint? \nDo you own the building or vessel you are trying to blueprint? You can only blueprint structures that are either owned by you (Private) or by your faction.\n\nQ: My Base (placed from pre-Alpha blueprint) explodes when changing any block!? \nIf you want to place a blueprint from Pre-Alpha, start a creative game first, switch off SI (Open Console and enter 'Si off') and save as a new blueprint. This will fix most of the problems – except a non-SI conform design.\n\nQ: Do I need to flatten the terrain ahead of placing a blueprinted base?\nNo. You can move the blueprint wireframe around ahead of placing it.Please have a look in the Options menu to which keys this action is currently bound to (Default Page Up and Page down).\n\nQ: I have placed my blueprint-base into hill and need to remove the dirt. Does the drill or the Filler & Flatten tool damage my base blocks?\nNo.\n\nQ: Will subscribing to a blueprint in the workshop while the game is running update it immediately?\nYes. It may take a few seconds, though.\n\nQ: Some of my Blueprints in the Library are RED. What does this mean?\nThis is either a result of the blueprint being not compatible with your current game version OR the blueprint contains forbidden blocks (like Alien Turrets, Alien Core, Monster Spawners, Loot Containers). You can load the blueprint in CREATIVE mode, remove the forbidden blocks, then save it and then you should have it available in Survival Mode again.

• Remove Blocks
Q: How do I remove blocks in Creative Mode?\n- Either use the Multitool or hold any block in your hands and use SHIFT-RightMouse Click. \n- The R&R tool will not remove blocks on both sides of an active mirror plan. Only deleting blocks with the SHIFT-Right Mouse method will do so.
• Paint and Texture Mirror
Q: Can I use both the paint- and texture gun with the mirror mode?\nYes!
• Materials and Harvesting
Q: Do I need to harvest and gather materials in Creative?\nNo, you do not. Just click H (Default) and you have all blocks at your disposal (Singleplayer and Server)
• Create own POIs
Q: Can i create a POI in Creative Mode and use it in my custom game?\nYes, YOU CAN! \n1. Go to your In-game Blueprint library (F2) \n2. Double-click any BASE (Small Vessel/Hover Vessel/Capital Vessel won't work) \n3. Set a group name\n4. Use the group name in your customized playfield.yaml\n\nIf you want creatures spawn in your base, create that base in CREATIVE and add the Monster-Spawners. Same applies for the Alien POI loot containers.

• Access Console and Commands
Q: How do i use Console Commands in Singleplayer (Survival/Creative)?\n- Just open the Console (see Options > Controls) and enter 'help'. This will show you all the commands that are available by now. \n- Type in 'help' and add a command to reveal its syntax and values. Like 'help faction' will show you everything you need to know about the faction command\n- Console commands only work on a multiplayer server if you are either Admin, Moderator or Gamemaster!\n\n Q: How to use Console Commands when playing on a (local) Dedicated Server (Creative/Survival)?\nYou can't. The owner or and admin of the server needs to promote you to the Gamemaster permission group at least.

Q: How to destroy or delete a base from in-game (as admin)?\nEnter 'di' in the console and an overlay will be added on top of your screen. Go close to a base or a vessel and point at it. The overlay will tell you the ID of the Base/Vessel. Use the ID with the 'destroy' command.
• Admin Setting
Q: How to make myself admin of my local Dedicated Server (selfhosted)?\n- Use TELNET (Microsoft Service included in Windows) and use the setrole command.\n- Alternatively use the adminconfig.yaml example file available/explained here: http://bit.ly/EGSadminfile\n\nQ: How to make myself admin of my rented Dedicated Server?\nUse telnet (via remoteconsole) or talk to your hoster to update the adminconfig.yaml accordingly.

• Change Player Name / EPD
Q: How to change my player name?\nYou need to change your player name over at steampowered.com or from within your Steam Client.\n\nQ: What is my Empyrion Steam Player ID? (often referred to as EGS Steam ID or EPD)?\nYour Player ID is a string of numbers. If you need to know your EPD, open the explorer and go to one of your savegames PLAYER folder: ../Steam/steamapps/common/Empyrion - Galactic Survival/Saves/Games/YourSavegameName/Players/..\n\nYou'll find a file with the .ply ending there. The numbers are your EPD. \n\nNote: Do not mix up the EPD with your Steam Account or Web ID. The EPD is a player ID unique to the game. The Steam Account/Web ID is the ID you are using on steampowered.com or other Steam-related topics (like for the webshops or login to websites).
• Report an Issue
Q: How to report an issue with the game?\nIf the issue can be reproduced, head over to the forums and report your bug in the bug threads. \n\nIf you are getting a 'Continue or Quit' Error in Singleplayer, remember what you last did before this happened. • Save a Game
Q: How does saving a game work?\n There are three ways: \n1. AUTOSAVE: The game auto-saves every time you leave an ongoing session (ESC -> Door symbol), overwriting the initial savegame. \n2. MANUAL SAVE: If you hit ESC you'll notice a SAVE button designed like a disk. When you hit the SAVE-button a new savegame will be created with the extension _BACKUP. If you hit the button repeatedly, the _BACKUP extension will get added some numbers\n3. COPY SAVE: From the main menu, open RESUME GAME. Select a savegame and use the COPY button. This will create a manual backup with a _COPY extension. \n\nPlease note: you cannot load a savegame while
in-game, yet.
