馬と男

マクファーレン邸を尋ねたマーストンは、マクファーレン牧場の牧場主にしてボニーの父親である、ドリュー・マクファーレンと初めて顔を合わせる。
ドリューは聞かれるでもなく、自らの半生を語り始める。
堅気の牧場主としてこの土地に移住して三十年、荒野の開拓者として生き抜いてきた彼の言葉には、賊として生きたマーストンとは異なる重みがあった。
政府の遣いであるマーストンの意見を聞き入れたドリューは程々に話を区切り、野生馬の調達に彼を誘う。
娘いわく、政治談義と同じぐらいお気に入りの仕事だそうだ。

ミッションフローチャート

ボニーとその父親と共に、荒野に生息する野生の馬をつかまえに行く。
投げ縄を入手。馬に乗って雑談しながらヘニガンズ・ステッドの荒野へと向かう。
野生の馬の群れを発見するので、武器欄の投げ縄を装備し、適当な一頭を狙って投げつけよう。
要領は通常の武器と同じで狙い、発射する感じ。
つかまえると一度馬を下りて近づき、つかまえた馬に乗る。すると跳ね落とそうとする馬との耐久勝負になる。
身体の位置をよく見て、バランスを取るように反対方向にレバー入力しよう。
カメラ視点は前からプレイヤーを見た形になる。主人公の身体に対して逆方向に入力するのではなく、
画面に対して入力しよう。（右足が下がったら右に入力。反対もしかり）

つかまえた馬をつれてボニーの父親は牧場へと帰るので、自分の馬に戻ってもう一度群れを追いかける。
もう一頭をつかまえて乗りこなすと、一度ボニーと共に牧場の馬舎に戻る。

再度出発し、アルマジロ方面に向かう。チョヤ・スプリングスの辺りで村の男達と合流。馬の群れを追いかける。
馬の群れが見えたら、先のミッションで牛の群れにしたように、群れを黄色マーカーに誘導していく。
6頭ほどの群れだが、牛と違って速度が速く、方向を変えやすい。
誘導すると、「ゴールデンパールの牝馬」が逃げ出す。谷の奥方向へ行くので追いかけ、投げ縄でつかまえて乗りこなす。
そのままボニーの所へ戻ると、報酬としてこの馬をくれる。かなりいい馬なので、つなぎ場で保存して愛馬にしておこう。
首吊り岩の近くでミッションが終わるので、宝の地図を手に入れているならチャレンジの財宝探しLv2をしてもいい。

ボニーミッションのA TEMPEST LOOMS（迫りくる嵐）が解放。

ミッション完了報酬

• Honor（名誉） +150
• 投げ縄：馬の捕獲の他、賞金首の生け捕りなどに使える。また自分で野生の馬をつかまえ、乗りこなすことも可能となる。
  じゃじゃ馬ならしの仕事も解禁。
• Kentucky Saddler（ケンタッキーサドラー）：最後につかまえる馬で、能力値の高い3種のひとつ。
  以降はこれを愛馬にして進むといいだろう。同時に馬の権利書（$1500）も販売される。
  実績/トロフィーに「愛馬を殺さずにミッションをクリアし続ける」というのがあるので、
  死んだらロードするくらいの心持ちで大切に使おう。

Once the stallion stop, you have a short time to dismount your horse and jump on before he tries to run away.
