When the Ktonian Alchemists discovered the old Agarthan secrets of mercurial alchemy they refined the methods of animating the magical metal. Instead of enchanting the liquid metal, they enchanted the barrel in which the material was contained. Enchanted barrels filled with mercury were a lot easier to move around, and the raw magical power needed to animate the metal was reduced. A problem with the magical metal is that it reeks with fumes detrimental to living beings. The barrels are often given to the reawakened dead and placed far from living soldiers.

解説

人間の手によって改良された生ける水銀を収める樽。機能的にはBottle of Living Waterに近い。

これを持って戦闘に入ると、自動的にLiving Mercuryが召喚される。大きさは過去の時代で召喚できたものと同じサイズ5。

解禁はやや遅くなってしまったものの、一度作ってしまえばアイテム自体を失わない限りは永遠に使い続けられる。魔術師以外でも利用できるというのもありがたい。
その圧倒的な打撃力は中盤でも猛威を振るうし、防御力の関係で意外に脆いという欠点も、遠慮なく使い捨てられるこの方式ならさほど気にならない。単価も高くなく、気軽に利用できるだろう。

注意すべきはPoison Cloud能力。下手な配置をすると味方を毒殺してしまうし、出現位置が装備者の真横になるので本人も危険に晒される。説明通り、毒耐性を完備するアンデッドあたりと併用するのが最も手軽。
